This year, I have decided to expand my personal awards to include more than just television series (the SMART TV Awards are now 2 years old). As it is with my TV awards, I have a set of rules of what can and cannot be nominated, and what categories to include.

This bring me to what will probably be the most controversial thing of my awards. As I do not listen to Rock music, there will be no Rock categories. Any songs that are considered “rock” by people on these boards or even myself, will be placed and submitted in the Pop categories.

As with the regular Grammy’s, there will be 5 nominees for each category. The list of categories are:

    Song of the Year
    Album of the Year
    Record of the Year
    Best New Artist
    Music Video of the Year

    Pop Solo Performance

    Pop Duo/Group Performance
    Pop Album
    Pop Song

    Country Solo Performance
    Country Duo/Group Performance
    Country Album
    Country Song

R&B Performance (this includes Traditional R&B)
    R&B/Urban Contemporary Album

    Rap Performance

    Rap/Sung Collaboration
    Rap Album
    Rap Song

    Best Song Written for TV/Film

The Worst Song category is a special category. In it, I will nominate what I believe to be the five worst written songs released this year.

The eligibility period for these awards are the same as the Grammy’s. (October 1st – September 31st)

For the 1st Annual SMART Awards:
I will announce the R&B/RAP/WORST SONG nominees January 15.
I will announce the nominees in the COUNTRY categories on January 16.

^Ha why no problem darling. Unfortunately for Scott, I am training in Law practice, so I can see through bullshit. Though I’m glad you pointed out what nobody has dared try to confront him about.

That’s why we agree on this! We both can see through bullshit. Damn straight. And the fact that he has so many people following and eating out of every word he types is frightening. Lol. Anyways, let’s go back on topic!

FYC: Frank Ocean in every category!

Just to ask what is eligibility period of your music awards?

It is the same as the Grammy Awards. For this year, October 1st, 2011 to September 30th, 2012. Any song released in that time period is eligible.
