I honor of his 40th birthday, Billboard has published a ranking of the biggest Billboard Hits by Eminem (named by them as the Artist of the Decade 2000-2009), here’s the top 10 (but the whole list is a Top 30):

    01 Lose Yourself
02 Love the Way You Lie ft. Rihanna
03 Smack That (Akon ft. Eminem)
    04 Without Me
    05 Not Afraid
    06 Cleaning Out My Closet
    07 The Real Slim Shady
    08 Just Lose It
09 Forever (Drake et al. ft. Eminem)
10 Crack A Bottle (ft. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent)

“Crack a Bottle” in the top ten wtf.

Also, if he is turning forty, strange that they did not just include all of his charted songs to do a forty-item list.

It’s a list of his biggest hits according to Billboard, not a list of his best singles.

Lose Yourself tops 5 million in paid downloads

Eminem received a lot of attention last week (including right here at Yahoo! Music) when he turned 40. This week, fans give him a belated present: His 2002 smash “Lose Yourself” becomes just the second song from the pre-digital era to top the 5 million mark in digital sales. It follows Journey’s 1981 smash “Don’t Stop Believin” (which has sold 5,433,000 copies.)

Seven other songs that were released prior to the digital era (which we can conveniently date to the April 28, 2003 opening of the iTunes story) appear on Nielsen SoundScan’s running list of the 200 songs that have sold the most digital copies.

Eminem was a lot stronger with Recovery. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 came and went. He slayed the charts during the late 2013 then after “The Monster” he isn’t really charting on the hot 100. headlights is a good song, i don’t know why people don’t buy it or request the song on radio. it’s a good era. he has the biggest tour of the summer with rihanna and will win countless awards. i dont mind in 2015 that he makes a Bad Meets Evil or D12 album. he might release another solo album next year. let’s hope for the best for the artist of the 2000s. he paved the way for other white rappers hitting the mainstream like iggy and macklemore.
