Both Beyonce and Alicia have a lot going on so I figured I’d do a combined thread since the music forums are slow and don’t get as much traffic anymore.
Both are rumored to drop new music this month and both have a lot of promo going on.
Beyonce is still basking in the afterglow of “Formation,” the Super Bowl, a mini backlash, her HBO Lemonade special and her upcoming World Tour and video album.
Alicia will be a coach on The Voice this fall, will host SNL on May 7th and will be dropping her first album in three+ years.
With summer music, the BET Awards, VMAs, etc. coming up, I suspect we’ll be hearing a lot about these women in the coming months.
It seems like R&B music has really fallen out of the mainstream spotlight in recent years so it’ll be interesting to see how these titans will do.

I believe Beyonce has a thread for this and Idk about Alica but you could of made one. They should be in separate threads.April 17, 2016 at 5:47 pm #1201746879
Honey, you got some damn nerve! You have created a thousand Taylor Swift threads over the last year or so. #StayInYourLane
You tried DD! He is a Goldderby legend.April 17, 2016 at 5:53 pm #1201746880

You have made countless threads just so you can include Taylor Swift in there somehow…April 17, 2016 at 6:58 pm #1201746893
Each Taylor swift thread has a specific topic not a general thread ment for information about Taylor. There is already a thread for general Beyonce information about her new album. There is not two threads for Taylor Swift. Let alone two artists.April 18, 2016 at 7:58 pm #1201818332
So what? Regardless, you still made threads involving the hoe. This doesn’t help your case.April 18, 2016 at 8:03 pm #1201818335

And this helps yours? The fact is your calling me out when no one has responded to what the thread actually is about.April 19, 2016 at 1:05 pm #1201818530
Me calling you out was based on your hypocrisy. Don’t act stupid.April 19, 2016 at 4:10 pm #1201818919
Beyonce could easily do a million first week if marketed right.
Not sure on Alicia. she’s well respected and has her hardcore fans (myself included). However, the voice could easily help reach chart superstar again (her last top ten [as lead] as 2007-2008) a la Adam and BlakeApril 24, 2016 at 11:12 am #1201820573
First off – I love you, Gucci! Please don’t change! You’re an OG around these parts, too.
More news on Alicia:
Beyonce dropped her album last night on Tidal last night after her HBO special. Beyonce’s original thread was resurrected yesterday, but as far as I’m concerned, you guys can post in either thread. The music forum is dead right now.
Alicia has a stake in Tidal, too, but I hope she doesn’t exclusively release her album to Tidal. My guess is that she pulls a Rihanna and releases there first with a traditional roll out later on.April 25, 2016 at 8:59 pm #1201821359
I love you too, DD! These newer and younger posters need to show some damn respect.
I wonder what direction Alicia Keys will be going musically for her next album. R&B music is in a sad state at the moment. The Voice is actually a good move for her. She can use that platform to promote her new music.May 4, 2016 at 1:29 am #1201824938
Alicia’s new single “In Common” is so good. It has an addictive and hypnotic beat. I like so much better than GOF.May 4, 2016 at 6:41 am #1201824967
That new Alicia Keys though………mem!
Her best single in YEARS. Sure fire hit right thereMay 8, 2016 at 12:18 am #1201825863
Both of Alicia’s “SNL” performances were outstanding! “In Common” is a pretty radical departure for her, so yay for that. It’s about time. Her new look is . . . interesting? I’ll leave it at that. Looking forward to hearing more now.May 8, 2016 at 5:58 am #1201825881
Honey, I’m really digging “In Common.” Alicia Keys may be able to scoop up Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song nominations/wins. It’s a rather pleasant departure from her previous sound. I liked the Saturday Night Live performance.
