Okay, everyone feel free to vent here. “HOW DARE THEY NOMINATE [INSERT AWFUL NO-ACCOUNT TALENTLESS HACK HERE]” 🙂December 7, 2015 at 8:11 am #414823
– Taylor Swift getting nominated for ROTY, AOTY, SOTY, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video. Hurls!
– Kelly Clarkson nominated in Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Barfs!
– Charlie Wilson nominated in Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Album.December 7, 2015 at 8:17 am #414824
Unless I’m mistaken, Awful No-Account Talentless Hack was the working title of Fetty Wap’s album.
But jokes aside, Fetty Wap did not deserve any nominations. At least he completely missed the general field.December 7, 2015 at 8:31 am #414825
Nicki Minaj’s rap nominations, I was hoping that the Grammys would gone a little left field like they did last year with Childish Gambino and Lecrae, in addition to nominating critical darlings like Run the Jewels
Taylor Swift’s nominations, like Beyonce last year, I don’t think she is going win as big as some people are predicting. I’m hoping that Kendrick can win music video for Alright not Bad Blood.
Rock Album seems a little underwhelmingDecember 7, 2015 at 8:34 am #414826
The Bad Blood’s nominations… Really? REALLY?December 7, 2015 at 9:04 am #414827
Kelly Clarkson getting those nominations is ridiculous.
I don’t get the love for the Kendrick version of Bad Blood. I think it completely ruined the song.December 7, 2015 at 9:46 am #414828
I really was mad when I heard Xstinka got nominated…oh wait,……mauahahahahaaha!!!!!!!December 7, 2015 at 10:11 am #414829
“Truffle Butter” getting a Rap Performance nomination is actually more funny than anything. I’m surprised voters really went there.
And yes, agreed about the Fetty Wap Rap nominations. Just glad he didn’t get a BNA nomination.December 7, 2015 at 10:17 am #414830
“Bad Blood” is just an awful record. It’s getting nominated is ridiculous and is totally a coattail nomination. Ugh.December 7, 2015 at 12:10 pm #414832
“Alright” for Record of the Year
I can’t stand rap unless it has a strong catchy chorus. This song doesn’t have one.December 7, 2015 at 12:21 pm #414833
Honey, “Alright” was NOT nominated in Record of the Year. It received a Song of the Year nomination.December 7, 2015 at 12:23 pm #414834
You changed your name again? lol
Oops, then my pick is:
“Alright” for Song of the Year
Same reason.December 7, 2015 at 12:33 pm #414835
Songs aren’t necessarily nominated in SOTY for having “strong catchy choruses”, 24Emmy. They are nominated in this category typically for the lyrical content and composition of the song. Kendrick Lamar’s album, and especially this song, is important and relevant and I for one and very happy it was nominated.
