Equivalent posts in the TV and film forums have been hugely popular, so let’s ask a similar question here.

What was your favorite song when you were a kid? I can’t decide between “Brown-Eyed Girl” or “Running on Empty” … That’s how old I am.

My mother and Father played the best music Elton John, U2 and Bruce Springsteen so I never really listen to modern music but TLCs Waterfalls or Any Man of Mine by Shania Twain. I was born in the early 90s by the way.

Moment of Truth by Gangstarr. Loved that track as a kid and I know every word to that track til this day.

As a kid – anything Disney put out in the 90s.  “Hakuna Matata”, “Friend Like Me”, “A Whole New World”, and “Be Our Guest” come to mind first.  Outside of that, my parents listened to a lot of The Beatles and The Carpenters, so those were the first two groups I was heavily exposed to.

I was a HUGE fan of Green Day in the late 90s and early 00s. “Wake Me Up When September Ends” defined early high school for me.

Also “All Star” by Smashmouth is a classic. To this day, I know every word (but then again, who doesn’t)

My “favorite song” probably changed several times while I was a kid, but the very first one I remember having was “If I Can’t Have You” by Yvonne Elliman. It’s still a big favorite of mine.
