He flopped harder than Lady Gaga this year. His latest album was a failure, his movie was a failure, any single he released during 2013 and 2014 were failures, etc. I think he’s over and thank goodness for that. He hasn’t been relevant since One Direction made their international breakthrough in 2012.

I think he’s pulling a Miley right now and making it about headlines vs music. Like he literally stripped for attention last night. Hmmm who did that last year. I feel like he is far from over but no, he will never be as big as he used to be. He has ruined his public image way too much

”Flopped harder than Mariah” would be a better fit.

I agree. During his “My World” era, he was the teen pop sensation that girls wanted to be with. During the “Believe” era, he was cocky, disrespectful, and overshadowed by boy bands (One Direction, The Wanted, Big Time Rush, etc.). The “Journals” era is his downfall.

Oh great now we have to go through the “let me hump everything in sight” phase and then the “let me get naked and ride a machine and call it art” phase.

Well I disagree with the Miley reference Miley actually has talent and has a really strong voice. She completely shed her teen image and found a new fan base consisting with young adults. Justin on the other had is still hated by young adults really anyone older than 17. He just like all others before him is over. Now girls will follow One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer until the new sensation comes along the life of a heart throb is a short one.

It’s not like he’s releasing music and it’s underperforming. He’s on break right now. Let’s wait and see what happens with the new album before we call him irrelevant.

[/quote] As soon as he released the song and video for “Confident” in early 2014, it flopped so after his disappointments, he is taking a short break.

That wasn’t a single. That was for the fans. Let’s see what happens when he start his new era. Album, singles, videos, tours, promo etc.
