Miley done it, so did Ariana can Selena get her 1st nomination for “Revival” after leaving her children’s label? It has a 74 on MC (with 8 reviews) and is has a second single, Same Old Love at #3 on ITunes.

I would love to see that happen. I’ve heard a coupple of the new songs from her and she really has delivered on what I’ve heard thus far. Way far from the Disney darling thats for sure.

But TBH, “Good For You” is worthy of a nomination. Very well produced pop song; her best yet.

I didn’t say this year. The question was, ” Will Selena Gomez get her first Grammy Nomination from the Album Revival?” Not will Selena Gomez get nominated this year. Both Miley and Ariana were nominated for their albums. Selena has two years to get nominated for “Revival”.

I think Selena will, even though the album is pretty blah. She’s popular enough and is on a credible label. Her best bet for a nom is next year in Pop Vocal Album.
Demi has a better chance though

• voters tend to nominate strong vocalists. 
• Her album is getting better reviews. 
• Her performance on SNL of “Stone Cold” got a lot of media coverage and twitter love from heavyweight industry insiders (Kelly Clarkson, JLO, Questlove, Rashida Jones to name a few)

Demi is an overall better vocalist and artist. Her music actually reflects where she is at each particular point in her life. Selena can’t sing and her music is the definition of basic trash.

Last year, “Bang Bang” managed to achive to get nominated for Best Collab. Good For You is a better song than it and her best work at all. She should get the nomination but I tihnk it won’t happen because of chart success.
