Let’s hear your thoughts on what you believe to be the worst (quality wise) recording to win the Grammy for Record of the Year?

“Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” mainly because it eclipsed Bobby McFerrin’s otherwise excellent musical résumé.

I never once clapped for the Dixie Chicks when they got this award in early 2007 and their attitude about what their song is about is the reason why. If the lead girl couldn’t deal with the fact that she isn’t the only person who has the right to speak their mind, she should have kept quiet until she could. What made her think that people wouldn’t take issue with what she had to say when everyone has their own opinion about everything?

    God bless you always!!!

^”Not Ready to Make Nice” is one of the best winners of the last decade. Bye.

“Please Read the Letter” – Alison Krauss & Robert Plant beating “Viva la Vida” and “Paper Planes” was criminal.

    Yes on:
    Get Lucky
    Please Read the Letter
    Here We Go Again
    Love Will Keep us Together
    We Are the World
Need You Now (the category was a complete fraud designed to give this song the award)
    Don’t Worry Be Happy

    No to:
All I Wanna Do is a great winner
Walk On is a of the worst? Why? because it won over Fallin’? Please…Walk On is amazing. Beautiful Day, meh.

*Not Ready to Make Nice is a fantastic song, but that was Crazy’s award. I’ve said a million times, you can love the Dixie Chicks all you want, and I very much do, but that was Gnarls Barkley’s award.

It’s one thing when you receive backlash for making an off-hand comment and overreacting to that, but any human would take offense at DEATH THREATS being made against you.

^^^ Well that right there is why we have law enforcement and to be honest with you, if the people who made them death threats actually had any real intention of taking her out, I don’t believe that they would have given out any kind of heads up.

    God bless you always!!!

    Holly

P.S. I also don’t believe that the song was just for those people. I think that she was talking to everyone who didn’t like what it is that she had to say. What rather surprises me is the fact that she wasn’t proud of getting such a rise up out of those who hated what she had to say. Instead what she did was give those who don’t like her something to be proud of by letting them know how much they got to her. If I was in her spot, the last thing that I would do is give them such satisfaction.
