Throughout the history of the Oscars, there have been six people nominated for playing Presidents or First Ladies. Though none of these nominations have resulted in a win.
However, which one do you think was the best? Sound off below and vote!
I went with Frank Langella. I was so tempted to vote Joan Allen, though.
Lets all wait til January 10′
Then we can all pick
Sally and Daniel!!!!!
What about Anthony Hopkins in Amistad? He played John Quincy Adams.
I wanted to mention Kevin Kline for Dave, but he received a Globe nom, not an Oscar.
I picked Joan Allen…
But you did forget two performances:
Alexander Knox in WILSON as Woodrew Wilson
Greer Garson in SUNRISE AT CAMPOBELLO as Eleanor Roosevelt
^ When I originally made this poll, I only put 6 contenders as possibilities (forgot about Hopkins as Quincy Adams and Greer Garson), but I had Knox. Later when I was reminded of Hopkins as Adams, I took out Knox, who had zero votes, and put in Hopkins.
