An amazing list of names. Still have to agree with the Academy however.
I feel that this one of the best Best Actor lineups ever, so its hard to choose between these nominees. But, I’m going to choose Jack Nicholson for The Last Detail.
Going with Nicholson as well…great lineup. Sad to put Redford’s charming work last.
Wow. Everyone has two votes each.
This is probably the strongest Best Actor line-up in history. I mean this category is fucking stacked. Despite the strength of the category, I’m going to agree with the Academy on this one, because Lemmon gave one of the finest performances of his career.
The way I see it:
1. Jack Lemmon, Save the Tiger
2. Jack Nicholson, The Last Detail
3. Al Pacino, Serpico
4. Marlon Brando, Last Tango in Paris
5. Robert Redford, The Sting
I think Jack is typically iconic, but I went with Redford, and for several reasons.
Great nominees (except for Brando…..not sure why he was nominated for that one) but Lemmon was the standout in my opinion.
This is a very strong category indeed. As of now, I’d give it to Pacino but honestly Nicholson and Lemmon are both extremely worthy. Redford and Brando are both great and certainly not filler by any means.
1. Al Pacino
2. Jack Nicholson
3. Jack Lemmon
4. Marlon Brando
5. Robert Redford
