Exactly 10 films (as of 2012) have won the distinction of winning both female acting awards for its cast members. Which pairing would you consider the most deserving of this honor?

No contest; Gone With the Wind. Followed very closely by Liz/Sandy and Anne/Patty.

My initial reaction was to vote for Moonstruck since I love the movie and the performances of both Cher and Dukakis.  But then I thought that i would vote for Streetcar because it’s the only time where women playing sisters have both won Oscars.  But after looking again, I felt the most challenging performances belonged to Duke and Bancroft so I voted for them.

Shockingly difficult. I wanted to vote for a comedy since I think its so much harder to pull off than drama. I went Moonstruck.

    1. Moonstruck
    2. Gone with the Wind
    3. The Piano

above 3 all got my top choices in their categories (though sometimes I’m for Channing in 93)

    4. The Miracle Worker

Bancroft was my choice in 62, Duke was just after Lansbury.

I actually am voting for Elizabeth Taylor and Sandy Dennis, with the Miracle Worker ladies close behind.

    Wow another tough choice.

I went with Patty and Anne. I almost went with GWtW or The Piano.

This was a pretty hard decision for me to make, because most of the 10 choices were pretty deserving. But in the end, I cast my vote for The Piano (Holly Hunter & Anna Paquin), because I felt their performances were the best of the lot. However, The Miracle Worker (Anne Bancroft & Patty Duke) ranks a very close second in my book, while Gone With The Wind (Vivien Leigh & Hattie McDaniel) ranks an extremely close third.
