A truly outstanding lineup; Gwenn, Huston, Crisp and Brennan are all among my top 20 Supporting Actor winners, and the remaining contenders (aside from Jagger; never got what the fuss was about) are all excellent to good.

Not a bad decade at all.  Huston is clearly tops. Dunn is really the only one I didn’t think was worthy.  Although Brennan and Huston were the only ones that were my actual choices in their respective winning years of the 40’s.

    1. Huston
    2. Gwenn
    3. Brennan
    4. Coburn
    5. Russell
    6. Crisp
    7. Fitzgerald
    8. Heflin
    9. Jagger
    10. Dunn
