    Michael Keaton (or Kearon )

He gives quite possibly the best male performance of the year (with Brendan Gleeson and Jake Gyllenhaal giving him a run for his money) and not only that, he was absolutely brilliant in Birdman. He created this character of Riggan Thomson that so many people call autobiographical, but I didn’t see any of Keaton in the character other than the general description. Keaton was absolutely amazing, and I hope he wins it all.

David would be number 3 if he was nominated. Still think Ralph Fiennes, Steve Carell, and Brendan Gleeson gave the best lead male performances of the year

    1. Michael Keaton, Birdman
    2. Bradley Cooper, American Sniper
    3. Eddie Redmayne, The Theory of Everything
    4. Steve Carell, Foxcatcher
    5. Benedict Cumberbatch, The Imitation Game

This is an excellent lineup. Everyone here in this lineup is deserving of their spot.

I personally don’t think Benedict Cumberbatch or Bradley Cooper were good enough to merit Oscar nominations. Replace them with Jake Gyllenhaal and David Oyelowo and you’d have a great category.

    Based off the choices given…

    1. Cumberbatch
    2. Keaton
    3. Redmayne
    4. Cooper
    5.  Oyelowe
    6. Carell

But I would have liked to see Jake Gyllenhaal nominated and win.
