Benicio del Toro!  I love what he did in Traffic, a beautifully nuanced and soulful performance.  He was the heart of the film, the character that was most affected by his involvement in drug trafficking.  He kind of feels like the only real person brought to life onscreen by these men.

This one is tough. I have a lot of respect for all of these performances, but I like them all fairly equally.

For now, I will vote for Christoph Waltz.

I voted for Waltz because he just floored me in his first scene, but Ledger is a very close 2nd and right after him Bardem.
    Plummer was also great.

    Think Amazing Race.

Bardem is at the final pit-stop laying back and relaxing. Health is on
the train that left about an hour later. Del Toro is buying his ticket
at the booth as I’m writing this. Plummer has finally hailed a cab and is
making his way to the train station. While Waltz hasn’t left the hotel because it can’t find his passport.
