I honestly left the movie theatre feeling like Christoph Waltz was the standout. Loved Samuel L Jackson and Leo but Waltz just does something with his characters that is so amazing and captivating that I ONLY watch him when he’s on the screen.

I completely agree. I hope he wins the Oscar this year.

Although I liked almost everyone, Christoph Waltz surprised me by just how great he is here. He gets my vote without hesitation. Sure hope he wins this year, even over JLT, who I also adore as an actor.

I thought Jackson had the best performance. Waltz was great and so was Kerry.

Great cast all-around. Loved Waltz’s performance. He’s got a certain criminal charm about him. He knows how to woo an audience and make us all in on his joke.

That being said, however, I truly believed DiCaprio stole the show. His pure wickedness was awful and delicious. The scene with the broken glass, when Candie confronts Django and Shultz, in the dinning room was riveting. Truly a remarkable performance from one of the greatest actors working today.

How can you not give it to Leo, especially playing so much against type.   One of the best villains in recent memory– truly electrifying performance.

Can’t have too much of a problem with anyone who says Waltz, the dude is money on the big screen.  He elevates everything that he’s in big time.

Waltz for the win.  He’s getting a second Oscar.  It is happening!  Not only did I think he gave the best performance in the movie, it was my favorite performance in any movie I saw all year.

As good as Leonardo DiCaprio was my vote goes to Waltz by a mile.

Such a shame before on paper, DiCaprio seemed like a very likely nominee/winner, like Waltz was in IB. Too bad he was extremely hammy and over the top. Not to mention overly miscast.
