Only four TV shows have seen all of its main cast members win Emmys for their role on the program. Which do you think is the best?
All in the Family
Carroll O’Connor (Comedy Lead Actor, 1972, 1977, 1978, 1979)
Jean Stapleton (Comedy Lead Actress, 1971, 1972, 1978)
Rob Reiner (Comedy Supp. Actor, 1974, 1978)
Sally Struthers (Comedy Supp. Actress, 1972, 1979)
The Golden Girls
Bea Arthur (Comedy Lead Actress, 1988)
Betty White (Comedy Lead Actress, 1986)
Rue McClanahan (Comedy Lead Actress, 1987)
Estelle Getty (Comedy Supp. Actress, 1988)
Dan Castellaneta (Voiceover Performance, 1992, 1993, 2004, 2009)
Julie Kavner (Voiceover Performance, 1992)
Nancy Cartwright (Voiceover Performance, 1992)
Yeardley Smith (Voiceover Performance, 1992)
Hank Azaria (Voiceover Performance, 1998, 2001, 2003)
Harry Shearer (Voiceover Performance, 2014)
Will & Grace
Eric McCormack (Comedy Lead Actor, 2001)
Debra Messing (Comedy Lead Actress, 2003)
Megan Mullally (Comedy Supp. Actress, 2000, 2006)
Sean Hayes (Comedy Supp. Actor, 2000)
Easily ALL IN THE FAMILY. It may be the best acted sitcom ever.
The Golden Girls.
Wouldn’t you also have to include the fifth series Columbo where its sole regular Peter Falk won the leading actor in a drama series four times?
I’m surprised The Simpsons isn’t leading. What the six principle voice actors do each week eclipse what the casts of the other three shows did combined.
I’m not surprised. The Simpsons is a bit of a cheat for this poll. Nancy Cartwright, Julie Kavner, and Yeardley Smith ‘won’ their only Emmy via the Academy awarding 6 actors at the same time.
The Golden Girls and Will & Grace.
Would definately be Will & Grace followed closely by Golden Girls
The Golden Girls, for me, is the best. No other shows could compete.
nice. didnt know the simpsons was in this level too. for years it’s just these three shows who were in this level.
