I always flip flop between Adams & Weisz
5. KeenerApril 2, 2014 at 6:58 am #547253
You spelled Adams’ name wrong.
Frances McDormand (I really don’t hate her, it’s just a coincedence I’d rank her last)April 2, 2014 at 8:52 am #547254
I need to see Junebug, but for now, I pick Weisz

Need to rewatch Weisz, Adams, Keener, and McDormand. Just rewatched Williams, and she is quite great, though maybe not enough for the win.April 2, 2014 at 1:16 pm #547256
Junebug was horrible but Amy Adams was absolutely lovely in it. She should’ve won the Oscar her first time out.
#5-Catherine Keener (I hate placing her here, but it was just a case of there not really being anything there. She was good but…)April 2, 2014 at 5:55 pm #547257
Thandie Newton shoulda been in thereApril 2, 2014 at 7:18 pm #547258
Keener gave a good performance but absolutely nothing worthy of a nomination. And I LOVE the woman….April 2, 2014 at 11:01 pm #547259
I voted for Williams. The Weinstein pushed nominations in Best Actress were never win worthy over her rivals. Mountain was a good place to honor her.April 3, 2014 at 5:18 pm #547260
Just watched Keener yesterday
The scene when she asked capote how he felt about her movie is quite great in her subtle disappointment
I voted for Weisz thoughApril 3, 2014 at 9:04 pm #547261
Voted for Adams,but I don’t mind Weisz winning.She was also brilliant in The Constant Gardener.April 9, 2014 at 5:03 pm #547262
Thandie Newton.April 9, 2014 at 8:37 pm #547263
I like Weisz, but in that performance she… acted. The praise just seems so random to me.May 13, 2014 at 1:00 am #547264
I agree that Thandie Newton should’ve been nominated.May 13, 2014 at 4:00 am #547265

I found Weisz’es performance as natural and authentic as any I’ve seen. In a field as great as this, she rose above the rest.
