    Whoa. Impossible choice.
Loved him in ToL, BenButton, Fight Club, Se7en, Snatch, Burn, Basterds, Monkeys, even Killing Then Softly. I’ll vote for Jesse James, but it was a close one.

Hard question. I was very close to choosing any one of six movies. I tried to go by performance and not by the quality of the film. I went with 12 Monkeys, mainly because it wasn’t a typical Pitt performance. It was also one of his first standout performances of a great career.

His best performance (by far) is not even on this list!

    MONEYBALL

I thought about Moneyball, but to be fair, his career is an embarrassement of riches. We can always do a part 2 later on.

I thought he was sooo terrific in this. My heart kept sinking as his chances for a win did.

    That’s really a though choice…. I went with 12 Monkeys.
He was so CRAZY in that and so Oscarworthy.
And he was so funny in Burn after Reading….. a pure delight to watch!

He’s really more versatile than I thought.

He only ever makes an impression on me when he plays crazy and/or extroverted characters. Otherwise, he comes off dishwater like. Fight Club, Moneyball, 12 Monkeys and Burn After Reading are the ones that immediately come to mind, and Fight Club remains the best.

    Fight Club got my vote…

12 Monkeys, Burn After Reading, Inglourious Basterds all close to the vote.

I voted for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button but his best performance is definitely Moneyball.

    If I ranked them today
    Jesse James
    Tree of Life
    Moneyball
    Ben Button
    Snatch
    12 Monkeys
    Se7en
    Burn
    Basterds

but I think he’s been good in everything, including other films not mentioned above. I wonder if they’ll ever give him the Oscar?

My original vote was Fight Club but I rewatched “12 Monkeys”……amazing.
