Brokeback definitly. Good Night, and Good Luck and Match Point are good too and I haven’t seen the others. Weird that Crash went on to win Best Picture and it didn’t even get nominated for the globe

Just look it up that Crash is the first Best Picture winner to not be nominated for the Globe since Gandhi

Another good set of films, though I would have nominated Crash and Munich over A History of Violence and Match Point. Even Capote should have made this line up. This was a good year.

Actually CRASH is the first since The Sting in 1973 because GANDHI as well as the 1981 best picture winner CHARIOTS OF FIRE were Globe nominees (and winners) in the foreign language film category and as we know, foreign films can’t compete in drama or comedy/musical and if I remember correctly, back then even UK films were considered foreign.

    Out of the five:
    1. Brokeback Mountain
    2. A History of Violence
    3. The Constant Gardener (a really underrated film)
    4. Good Night, and Good Luck
    5. Match Point
