Vote for your favorite collective nominated work from these actors. Minimum of 3 nominations to be included.
HANKS was a revelation in the 90’s
and he just astounded me again on Broadway last night!!!
he gets my vote.
So ludicrously overrated.
This is Anthony Hopkins by a mile.
Hopkins for sure.
Not a fan of Hanks in the 90’s at all, loved him in the 80’s though/
Pacino’s supporting nods were great!
Hanks Hanks Hanks!!!
But Hopkins is still amazing.
To be honest, I can’t say any of these actors was the best of the 90’s nominated actors. Hanks is so overrated and nowhere near a great actor (his accents are terribly unconvincing…Captain Phillips seems to also speak to this), though he was in several hits and was at the peak of his powers as a box office movie star. Hopkins gave the best career rejuvenating performance (and it’s amazing the Academy honored him for that role), but he comes off as ridiculously hammy in his biopic roles. And Al Pacino has basically been a parody of himself since his 70’s classics (yeah, I said it). So nobody wins.
1. Hopkins – everything he does is great, even in horrible films
2. Pacino – he didn’t achieve his greatness of the 70’s, but all-in-all a remarkable actor
3. Hanks – most blatantly overrated actor of all time. Yes, of all time.
