Very hard to vote anyone but Hepburn but Evans runs her very close.

I haven’t seen ‘Long Days Journey Into Night’ (Despite owning the DVD) but assuming she’s great in that I’ll give her my vote by a whisker.

Still Evan was robbed in ’67.

How is this even a competition? The great Anne Bancroft is head over heels the best, with these three legendary performances. If it were up to me, she would have Oscars for all of them!

Tremedndous options for the ladies this decade! All four are some of the best actresses who ever lived!

Page is divine in Sweet Bird of Youth and near perfect in Summer and Smoke.  Never quite understood her being singled out for You’re a Big Boy Now…nonetheless she’s good in it.

Evans’ Whisperers nods is one of the most deserved ever, she even managed to be my choice over Bancroft…which is amazing.  Her earlier supporting nods are impeccable.

Hepburn’s Long Days Journey nod is like Evans in 67 (although she placed 3rd that year for me behind Bancroft & Davis.)  1967 should not be a winning year for her though a good performance.  She’s great, great, great in LION IN WINTER, but not my choice in 68.

Bancroft is my all time fav actress (along with Burstyn) and her nods in the 60’s are the best of her career.  She should have also been nominated for The Slendor Thread & Seven Women!!!

Bancroft in a landslide get my vote!!!

BANCROFT THE GREAT is the winner here
with 2 of her iconic performances better than any
of the others and I thought her Pumpkin Eater performance
couldve won her another oscar in 1965 as well..

A truly great actress, one of the all time greats…if i had to rate
the all time greats..she would stand at #3 right behind
STREEP AND BETTE DAVIS…K. HEPBURN AT #4

    Anne Bancroft???

She’d be an easy #4 in this list for me.

I couldn’t agree more! Bancroft is definitely one of the greatest actors of all time. Though don’t forget about Maggie Smith, Jessica Lange, and Geraldine Page in the all time greats!
