If I had included Mrs. Doubtfire, that surely would have won (even though it’s not the family film of his that I relate most to). What would you think is his 2nd greatest family film ROLE? While Patch Adams may get a lot of schtick for its sentimentality, it was an excellent example of whom Robin Williams was if you met him.

I met him briefly in the mid-1990s, and my uncle worked with him twice on two mostly forgotten projects: 1977’s Can I Do It ’till I Need Glasses? and 1986’s  The Best of Times.

    My ranking:

    1. Hook
    2. Patch Adams
    (3. Mrs. Doubtfire)
    4. Jumanji
    5. Bicentennial Man
    6. Flubber
    7. Popeye
    8. Jack
    9. Night at the Museum
