If you vote “Other,” please list what film you think was the best.

Again, this does not mean that you disagree with the winner that year, just that you liked this film too.

There are many great nominated movies that haven’t won BP.  I probably wouldn’t point to most of the films listed in the poll before many of these films:

    Apocalypse Now
    2001: A Space Odyssey
    Chinatown
    Taxi Driver
    Double Indemnity
    Raging Bull
    Bonnie and Clyde
    The Exorcist
    Jaws
    Network
    Dr. Strangelove
    Zero Dark Thirty
    All the President’s Men
    The Elephant Man
    It’s a Wonderful Life
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
    E.T.
    Goodfellas
    The Crying Game
    Traffic
    Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
    The Fellowship of the Ring

^^^ Exactly.  As Good As It Gets wasn’t competitive, and didn’t even have a director nomination for being right in the Academy wheelhouse.  Thanks for adding Saving Private Ryan too.  Baffles me how many people praise that film to the high heavens.  Did they watch more than a half hour?
