Bullock and Witherspoon bring up the rear in unworthy wins..

I’m perfectly happy for the Top 7 but Witherspoon is awful. She should’ve won for Election.

    1. Marion Cotillard (still: Julie Christie was amazing in a very beautiful and nuanced performance!)
    2. Meryl Streep (still: Kirsten Dunst should have won this, hands down! And she wasn’t nominated!)
    3. Helen Mirren (still: Meryl delivered a knockout performance in a role that became iconic. And Judi Dench was really great!)
    4. Natalie Portman (still: Annette Bening was really terrific in The Kids Are All Right!)
    5. Kate Winslet (still: the nominees were mostly dull that year! Sally Hawkins was charming and in the end heartbreaking.)

The last three are really ridiculous, sorry!
Jennifer Lawrence’s performance is best described by the way I would describe her diner scene (which was her Oscar clip) – over the top, broad and going for easy choices instead of building a character.
Reese Witherspoon’s performance was a complete bore and she never ever did something interesting with her character.
And Bullock – well, has a worse performance won? Like ever? She looked and sounded ridiculous. And the film felt like a Lifetime special. Only the acting was worse.

Well, I voted for Meryl because I thought she might didn’t get a vote here. Of course I was wrong. *lol*
No, but seriously it makes me sometimes hard to rank, because every performance has something special, though overall my top 3 would be Cotillard, Mirren and Streep.
