Part of me wishes that “American Idol” would have lasted forever, but all good things must come to an end. That said, what reality shows do you think deserve to be canceled next? Have any reality shows gotten progressively worse over the years? Are there any coasting on fumes?August 16, 2015 at 6:20 pm #555883
The bachelor/bachelorette is the worst show still on television. It should be cancelledAugust 16, 2015 at 6:50 pm #555884
Click bait of course…but I’ll bite…
First of all leave the Bachelor/Bachelorette alone. I need them for my job, otherwise I don’t have anything to put on the background while I work…
I don’t get the point of American Ninja Warrior. I saw it, thought it was fun, but really, after a while, what’s the point? It’s like an endless line of auditions for something nobody ever finishes. And its just people falling down one after the other for the whole season and never accomplishing the main goal. And then the season is over and it starts again.
America’s Got Talent is awful and I don’t get “it”. It’s too many types of “talents” put together and there’s really no point, how do they judge? The TV Supporting categories at the Golden Globes make more sense than this.
Of course Top Model is a disaster, but again, it’s fun to criticize and to have it on while you work.August 16, 2015 at 7:10 pm #555885
As deeply as it pains me to say I think Project Runway has run its course. There really hasn’t been anything that felt like a fresh challenge in ages and I can’t tell you the last time I cared about who won. Overall the Lifetime seasons (especially the more recent dreadful “All Star” ones) are a pale shadow of the Bravo show.August 17, 2015 at 5:56 am #555886
Dancing with the “Stars” this show is pretty tiredAugust 20, 2015 at 3:51 pm #555887
I don’t get the point of Dancing with the Stars. Why would I watch a reality-competition show with people who actually DO have a career and are somebodies as contestants? It’s a lot more interesting with nobodies or people like you and me going on and winning like American Idol or America’s Got Talent.August 20, 2015 at 6:36 pm #555888

The “point” is to watch celebrities do things they’re not particularly accustomed to doing. Sometimes the gimmick works (Dancing With the Stars; Circus of the Stars; to a lesser extent, Celebrity Jeopardy), and sometimes it doesn’t (Splash; CBS’s one-episode wonder, Secret Talents of the Stars).
The problem with DWTS is the one Circus of the Stars had – eventually you run out of celebrities worth watching.August 25, 2015 at 7:59 am #555889
