Well last night was rough except for two acts that I think nailed it. Bolding the ones I think will go through.
    1)Mandy Harvey: Nailed it.
    2)Merrick Hanna: Nailed it.
3)Light Balance: I didn’t like it as much as their audition.
    4)Celine Tam: Not her strongest.
    5)The Masqueraders: This was over-produced.
6)Pompeyo Family Dogs: This was cute but I’m getting really bored by this act too.
7)Johnny Manuel: I liked it this week for once.

8)Evie Clair: On a night where everything seems to be going wrong for some acts, she was solid. I actually liked her this week.
    9)Brobots & Mandroidz: I didn’t like it.
10)Demian Aditya: This was pretty bad.
11)Mirror Image: Yeah….they are funny so there was that.
12)Eric Jones: I was bored out of my mind.

The shoe-ins right now are Chase, Kechi and Colin. Maybe Diavolo, too, if their next creation is anywhere as good as their first two.

I think Billy and Emily got lucky against Bello, so I don’t see Junior and Emily repeating their victory.

At The Stairwell had patriotism on their side and I don’t see two choirs making the semifinals, so no to Greater Works.

I don’t know how Oskar and Gaspar got here when they weren’t in the Judge Cuts (hopefully they tell us tonight) and even though I liked what they did, I don’t see them building much on that first audition. And if Bello couldn’t get through, I don’t see these two wild cards making it either, so no to Final Draft, too.

Oscar I put in the same boat as Singing Trump. He was fun to start the season off, but now that things are getting serious, I don’t see anyone voting to keep him on.

Mike Yung has a story and a likability to him, same as The Masqueraders. He’ll probably get in for the Dunkin’ Save and lose, but he might take the Judge’s Vote depending on who else gets left out. None of their remaining acts are strong enough to me to get more votes than him if this ends in a tie again.

The fifth spot is gonna come down to Angelina and Sara and Hero, I think. Simon’s infatuation with the latter might get them the votes if they put on another good performance, cause frankly Angelina was the weakest of all nine Golden Buzzer acts (and to think Heidi picked Sal last year). Whoever goes through, though, the other one is probably gonna win the Dunkin’ Save.

    So my line-up is…

    Chase Goehring
    Colin Cloud
    Kechi Okwuchi
    Diavolo
    Sara and Hero
    Angelina Green
    Mike Yung

Ok so last night I liked every act for once. My rankings and the bolded ones are acts I think will go through:
1)Colin Cloud: This was crazy and creepy and I loved it.
    2)Kechi Okwuchi: She killed it
3)Oskar and Gaspar: loved this one
    4)Chase Goehring: He killed it
    5)Diavolo: They killed it
6)DaNell Daymon & Greater Works: They killed it

7)Junior and Emily Alabi: Fun this time to watch.
    8)Mike Yung: He nailed it
9)Angelina Green: Song choice wasn’t great but that voice was 🙂
10)Sara and Hero: Oddly loved it
    11)Oscar Hernandez: He was fun.
12)Final Draft: They sounded good but it wasn’t exactly a performance I would remember off the top my head at the end of the show either.

Ahhh, so close this time around! I didn’t think Sara and Hero or Mike would make the Top 5. I’m happy they did, but they cost me two categories cause of that. Then Greater Works getting more votes than I expected. Maybe I shouldn’t underestimate choirs.

The semi-finals look competitive as all hell. Definitely gonna lose some favorites this go-around. I have my line-up, though.

    Darci Lynne Farmer
    Mandy Harvey
    Preacher Lawson
    Merrick Hanna
    Sara Carson and Hero

    Yoli Mayor
    Evie Clair
    Johnny Manuel
    Billy and Emily England
    Eric Jones

Well…at least I only got two wrong last night so baby steps this season for me is ok lol. As long as I don’t rank under 200 I’m good lol. Saying that, didn’t see Mike or Sara going through and am a bit gutted about oskar and gaspar.

They pushed the finalists number up to 12 this year it looks like. And they added a wild card, too!

Right off the top of my head, I wanna see Just Jerk again badly. They might resurrect the sole Golden Buzzer act to not make it through, though I don’t think Angelina’s worth the votes. Puddles would be great to see again, but I don’t love him in hindsight as much as I do Just Jerk or Bello. I’d be fine with either of them coming back, just as long as it’s not another singing act (even The Masqueraders).

Right now, I see all the finalists being:

    Darci Lynne Farmer
    Mandy Harvey
    Preacher Lawson
    Merrick Hanna
    Billy and Emily England
    Just Jerk/Sara and Hero

    Light Balance
    Chase Goehring
    Angelica Hale
    Diavolo
    Kechi Okwuchi
    Colin Cloud

As far as this last week went I thought the top were going to be

    Greater works
    Angelina
    Oskar and gaspar
    Sara and Hero
    Chase
    Kechi
And either Divalo, Oscar or Colin

I was Surprised to see all three of them in the middle part. I was Surprised to see Divalo go though so quick I find them to be boring. And I didn’t think mike yung would make it at all.

Going into next week the acts are … plus one wild card (personally I want the pompeyo family , I think the judges will pick Masqueraders or puddles who im also love)
    Billy & Emily England
    Darci Lynne Farmer
    Eric Jones
    Evie Clair
    Johnny Manuel
    Mandy Harvey
    Merrick Hanna
    Preacher Lawson
    Sara & Hero
    Yoli Mayor
But with just these I think the acts go as follows
    Sure bets
Darci – there is no way she doesn’t make the finale
Mandy – again I don’t see her not in the finale

    Probable
Merrick – he has to do just as good and better to make it
Billy and Emily – they are amazing and they fill the “death defying slot “
Evie – he singing is not always the best but her story is sooooo sad

    Possible
Johnny – he is great … I mean great .. but with all the little girls who are so much cuter and more fun to see preform ( darci, evie, Angelina and Celine) can he break into the finale ??
Preacher – he has to kill it … kill it to make it , I love him but he almost didn’t make it last time and he really kinda bombed the first live show.
Sara and Hero- I love them but I think this might be the end of the road for them , I truly wish her the best and hope she can make this into a fabulous life for herself but I don’t know if she can make the finale.

    Leaving ( unless a miracle )
Yoli – she is a nice girl but she has been a mess the last two times she has performed and I don’t think she should be in the finale
Eric jones – I like him , but I don’t think he is good enough to make the finale.

Going into the next week of Semifinals
    Angelica Hale
    Celine Tam
    Chase Goehring
    Christian Guardino
    Colin Cloud
    DaNell Daymon & Greater Works
    Diavolo
    In the Stairwell
    Kechi Okwuchi
    Light Balance
    Mike Yung

    Sure bets
Angelina – She is amazing and unless she bombs she will be in the finale
Kechi – I don’t not see her in the top five for the whole season , she is amazing , she sings beautiufly , her story is amazing and its truly breathtaking to watch her .

    Probable
Chase – he is great , but the same thoughts about Johnny will he make it to the end with all the other amazing singers already there
In the Stairwell – they are great , they are cute , they have fun it’s a great act and I think a lot of people in America responded to them .

    Possible
Greater works – probally one of my favorites from the whole show .. but I think America is gonna go with greater works
Light Balance – They are freaking amazing … but I could see them falling off in this round
Celine- I think she will have to go head to head with Angelina and unless she is able to up her game ( a lot) she will probably go home

    Leaving (imo )
Mike Yung – hes great , but I don’t see him in the finale
Diavolo – I think the act is rather boring and its always the same , jump catch thing its not super interesting for me .
Christian – he fumbled in the live shows and isn’t the best singer on the show , I think he probally wont make it.
Colin – this last week his act was awkward and not put together well. He will have to do a complete 180 if he is going to make it and I just don’t see him beating out some of the more polished acts . plus I hate his hair.

So my predicted top ten for the finale are
    • Darci
    • Angelina
    • Mandy
    • Kechi
    • Merrick
    • Billy and Emily
    • In the Stairwell
    • Light Balance
    • Chase
    • Evie Clair
    Alternates
Greater works , Johnny Manuel , Preacher Lawson or Sara and hero

Ok so my rankings (Bolding the 5 I think will go through):
    1)Darci Lynn: She killed it.
    2)Preacher Lawson: He killed it.
3)DaNelll Daymon and Greater Works: Their best yet.
    4)Chase Gohering: He killed it.
5)Billy and Emily: These two owned it last night.

6)Eric Jones: Ok so as much as I was bored last time by him, he killed it last night.
7)Sara and Hero: They were great!
    8)Mike Yung: Meh
    9)Evie Clair: Great job!
10)Yoli Mayor: Better than last time so yay but I think this is the end of the road for her. I think she will get a record deal out of this for sure.
    11)Johnny Manuel: This was brutal.

The amount of talent we have this season is just insane! I don’t think we’ve ever had a Semifinals quite like this where everybody stepped up their game and one could make a case for almost any of these acts to win it all. The number of exceptional singers alone is just incredible
and is proof of the void left by American Idol that shows like The Voice haven’t been able to fill and that America still has this craving for a unique reality singing competition that offers
something different to its viewers. I feel like some of the contestants this season (Yoli, Evie and Chase) would’ve done really well on American Idol had it been known at the time of the AGT auditions last year that American Idol is returning (yay!) so I hope it’s a possibility still on the horizon for them if they do get voted off tonight. For some reason I haven’t been able to connect with Chase’s performances the way others have, but Evie was breathtaking last night (her voice is so mesmerizing, and to think she’s only thirteen years old!) and Yoli brought her absolute A-Game, so it would be a real shame if these two didn’t move on to the Finals. Of all the singers this season, Yoli has the most unique voice (I always think if Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera and Bonnie Raitt’s voices were all put in a blender, the end-product you’d get is Yoli’s voice!). I’m really pulling for Johnny to prevail (technically he is the best singer in this competition); if anyone deserves a place in the Finals it’s him so hopefully this is not the end of the road for him. Good luck to all the contestants tonight!

These sympathy voters really do annoy me. I feel for Evie’s situation and think she’s a beautiful singer, but she’s not as talented as Chase is. Eric got kinda stale so I’m not surprised he lost to him in the end.

I’m kinda shocked Greater Works didn’t go through. I thought for sure they would with the amount of love they got last night.

That said, my Top 3 were just as I expected. Darci’s too beloved, Preacher’s too lovable, and after that little post-show Sara’s dogs gave us, who wouldn’t vote to put them through?

Jeez, I didn’t realize just how competitive this second semi-final round was gonna be until I saw that line-up. Just off the top of my head I see the Top 7 being:

    Angelica Hale
    Merrick Hanna
    Mandy Harvey
    Light Balance
    Diavolo
    Colin Cloud
    Kechi Okwuchi

Pompeyo Family Dogs was cute, but not worth bringing back by any stretch, and certainly not over Just Jerk or Puddles. If Greater Works could get through, In The Stairwell has no shot, nor does Christian if Johnny couldn’t. The “Battle of the 9 Year-Olds” is gonna end here sadly. I just can’t imagine they’ll take both Angelica and Celine and the former is the better singer by far. I’d be enraged if they went ahead and voted them both through.

Right now, the only shoe-ins I see are Merrick and Mandy, and only cause Angelina and Celine might potentially split votes. Other than that, AGT seems to have a historical bias against group acts (even the one winner – Olate Dogs – was just two individuals) which makes me very worried for Light Balance and Diavolo. Colin seems to be a huge fan favorite even though I think he’s reached his tipping point, and Kechi has so much sympathy it’d be sickening if I didn’t have it, too. I’d love to see both group acts get in, but if I had to choose, I’d want Colin and Diavolo. I love Light Balance too much to see them stop short of the finals.

I felt for her age Anjelica Hale should have made the finals. People think cause they are young they are not ready yet. I disagree. That girl has unbelievable talent. This girl is on fire should of made Alicia Keys proud. I expect her to have a great future.

    My predictions for tonight:

    Top 3 will be –

    1) Mandy Harvey: She’s a golden buzzer and everyone seems to love her. She’s very talented and sticks out from the pack of singers for me because her voice is so unique.

    2) Merrick Hanna: Again, fan favorite. He was in the Top 5 in quarterfinals, the judges adore him, and people seem to really be able to connect with him.

    3) Angelica Hale: Angelica’s tricky to predict. She IS a golden buzzer, so she should be a shoo-in. The problem is she shares a few similarities with Celine Tam, the other 9-year-old pop singer girl who got a Golden Buzzer in Judge Cuts. So there’s a potential for vote-splitting. Hopefully I don’t regret putting Angelica in the top 3. I still think she’ll beat Celine. I’m not saying Celine is bad, Celine is a great singer. But Angelica’s better.

The 3 acts in the middle will be –

    4) Kechi Okwuchi: Kechi has two things going for her: she’s got an emotional story, which will probably get her pity votes. But she’s also got true talent. I’m fairly confident she’ll wind up in the middle, and I think America will be quick to save her.

5/6) Diavolo/Light Balance: I’m torn between these two. I’m sure one of the group acts will make it to the finals, but I’m not sure which one. Light Balance IS Tyra’s Golden Buzzer, but Tyra doesn’t get to vote in the Judges’ Choice, so I don’t know if that will help them. If anyone has an opinion on these two, let me know.

The Bottom 5 will be –

    7) Celine Tam: Celine is great. But like I said earlier, she’s very similar to Angelica. And there’s SO MANY singers, and they’ve got to be eliminated at some point.

    8) Colin Cloud: Colin’s quarterfinals act was a little disappointing in my opinion. He was in danger in the quarterfinals, and I don’t think he’ll recover from that.

    9) Christian Guardino: I know he’s a golden buzzer, but again he was in danger in the quarterfinals, which usually means you’re going home the following week. If he SOMEHOW makes it into the middle, I think the judges would save him since he’s a golden buzzer, but that’s fairly unlikely.

    10) The Pompeyo Family: As much as I love this act, I hate to say they’re not going to the finals. Wild cards rarely make it through another stage of competition after being brought back. Still, they’re such a fun act and I’m glad we get to see them one more time.

    11) In the Stairwell: I am very confused why In the Stairwell made the Top 5 in Quarterfinals. They made it that week, and Bello AND Just Jerk AND Puddles didn’t?! Not cool, America. I’ve never really understood why people loved this act, and it’s time for them to go home.

Good luck to all the acts tonight!
