Use this thread to discuss the new season, which debuts January 2, 2017. How will Arnold do as Trump’s replacement?BenitoDeliciasParticipantJoined:Nov 3rd, 2010Topics:8Posts:3628January 6, 2017 at 11:03 am #1201981095
Saw the first two episodes. This show has never been anything but fake, but that first episode was terrible. It seems like Arnold is using his “Arnold” voice more than ever, going over the top and of course being very difficult to understand in the process. He’s clearly playing a very lame character and he decided to top it all off with “You’re Terminated” which made no sense.
Speaking of being fake, this whatever girl got eliminated “just because she’s a nobody”, which was an usual thing for Trump to do. So nobody needs to be surprised. Snooki (who didn’t deserved to be there) and Porsha were always going to stay for entertainment value.
Second episode picked up, it was a bit better, good thing Lisa spoke the way she did. She was very smart by not getting upset, remaining calm and just delivering Carnie’s exit and “termination” in a way Arnold could not have done better. So obviously he just picked up from where she left off and got rid of Carnie who of course should’ve brought back Kyle (and Porsha the director and editor, instead of Snooki), but still get eliminated herself.
Love how Kyle the only (former) actress decided to stay with the music or how Brooke decided nobody could’ve ever known the camera was sideways because she’s not a producer or director, but has been in front of cameras for years, including DWTS which must be hard and complicated as fuck, so of course she knows a thing or two.
I’m surprised by how good this cast seems to be, for once they have like 2 or 3 unknowns and everybody else is an actual famous once important person. The weak link is actually Arnold. Kind of makes me wish, God help us all, that Tyra was the host. More eloquent, an actual business person, previous host, better (if faker) personality.vinnyParticipantJoined:May 20th, 2011Topics:7Posts:30933January 6, 2017 at 12:15 pm #1201981132

Well you know, you are…and you’re not. Nobody is here for quality or realness, we’re all in for the fights and the failiure of these people during tasks and boardrooms and that doesn’t seem like it has changed.
