I think Lindsey is far better than Nick. I don’t remember him being as good as she is. But whatever, that season was designed to make him the winner and Sharna the new pro winner (which I’m sure they’ll try to do again now that Emma and Lindsay have their trophy). They just ran into a huge wall once Bindi came out and shocked us all with her personality, skill and newfound fanbase.
As for this finale, I haven’t watched the two hours yet. I was thinking Frankie could come in second for a moment there, it seemed like one of those crazy things that could happen like David last season (he was already much, muuuch better than David), but the obvious happened and Lindsey and Mark came in second. Which is not surprising, I think this was the logical place to end up when several things just didn’t happen for them (fanbase, connecting, scores as good as Jordan’s, Mark not bringing out the crazy and spectacular every week, he did, but not so much, the show taking attention away from Lindsey and placing it on others, specially Frankie, and again, Jordan, Jordan, Jordan).
In the last few weeks it became obvious they just didn’t stand a chance. Lindsey was this close to becoming the Nastia of the season, except they didn’t treat her as the icy bitch.
Jordan is a terrific winner, right up there in a Top5, a ringer but not THAT much of a ringer. A nice, cute, guy, great personality, with an amazing pro dancer that has proven herself over and over again in recent seasons. Very happy for Lindsay too.
This all athletes mini season doesn’t make much sense, unless two things happen: either they are all past contestants who come in with at least a third of the work done, or they’re all new but start rehearsing like the first week of january to show progress on episode 1. Otherwise by week 4 you’ll just have week 4 dancing which isn’t that good, unless their massive ringers.November 22, 2017 at 9:39 am #1202418506
Loving the idea of all athletes. Also beyond happy for JordanApril 5, 2018 at 9:47 am #1202524585
Apparantly we have 3 celebs already and one heavily rumored(per Puredwts.com). Just my thoughts (in gif form)

One more name to add the list of celebs:

I want to say I don’t care about any of this, but the difference is just a short season and hardly any of my favorites in the pro cast. And people I don’t know or ever heard about are competing.
But then the only real difference is a pro or two that’s missing. Everything else looks the same. And it will air when many shows are ending so whatever.
I do like that the usual people aren’t there to win, so maybe we’ll get a new winner and that’s always fun.April 13, 2018 at 8:15 am #1202529096
First season without a Brothers C! How did I miss that! And I think the pro who has been there the longest this season is either Witney or Sharna.April 26, 2018 at 7:52 am #1202535947
And the dances (and songs) for Monday are (Per Puredwts.com):

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Lindsay – Cha Cha (Song: “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder)
Mirai Nagasu and Alan – Salsa (Song: “No Excuses” by Meghan Trainor)

Didn’t even know this started this monday. And is that Artem’s official photo? In jeans?May 1, 2018 at 8:21 am #1202538607
These double eliminations……I oddly like.
1)Mirai & Alan
2)Adam & Jenna
3)Josh & Sharna
4)Arike & Gleb
5)Chris & Witney
6)Kareem & Lindsay
7)Jennie & Keo
8)Tonya & Sasha
And my thoughts on the two that went home:
Johnny and Emma: This is the perfect example of a big personality that kinda was just there last night.
Artem and Jamie: I have Artem’s name first because as much as I am a fan of Jamie (HUGE FAN), she is as dull as dul can be personality wise. She didn’t so bad per se……just not memorable either.May 8, 2018 at 7:07 am #1202543363
1.Adam & Jenna
2.Mirai & Alan
3.Josh & Sharna
4.Chris & Witney
5.Tonya & Sasha
6.Jennie & Keo
And Kareem and Arike: Both did great last night but I completely agreed.May 9, 2018 at 4:05 pm #1202544399
Seems like a waste of talent to have all these people on this season. I wish I could get more weeks of Adam, Tonya, Mirai and Chris.
Is it just me, or is it lame that even with and Athletes season and I Tonya happening a few months ago, Tonya didn’t wait until the fall/full season. She’s very, very good and it would’ve been nice to have a great “older” woman on the competition for more than 4 weeks.May 10, 2018 at 5:29 am #1202544670

I agree. They should have put her on the fall season. Same for Chris since I think any other season he would make the finale but this format isn;t helping him.
