I’m glad that Claudette is back on the show. Not that I liked her that much when she was on, but I don’t like the idea of someone from another season coming back this early in the game, because it’s veterans who got 4th-6th in their seasons competing against the “worst” chefs in the new season (I say “worst” because they were eliminated the earliest)! I dont think it’s fair, but if there’s going to be two I’m glad at least one is from this season’s cast.
I can’t believe that Bruce won the challenge, I mean they ate up Lee Ann’s lamb and then were heaping praise on Carrie’s cake. I mean, she made her own oven, and on top of that, they seemed to love the actual dish. At the beginning of the show, it seemed like everyone knew Bruce and he was this big chef. He hasn’t demonstrated that, but I think the judges are really eager to award him and keep him around for whatever reason.
Random thought, they are really playing up Fatima and how hilarious she was. I think she is an early frontrunner for Fan Favorite.January 5, 2018 at 8:51 am #1202456747
Bruce and Joe F. annoy me. Bruce to a lesser extent than Joe though…at least he has no ego. Just annoying. Tu seemed like the obvious choice to go home. I don’t think he is gonna last long in last chance kitchen. Oh and Lee Ann 🙂 I forgot how much I like herJanuary 5, 2018 at 8:59 am #1202456766
Also, I’m soooo glad that Logan Paul’s ass is being dragged left and right for his incredibly poor judgment in filming some video of his near the spot of a suicide victim and making light of it. I wouldn’t have known of his existence if not for “Top Chef” since I couldn’t care less for “YouTube celebrities,” but it was clear from his appearance on the show how clueless and lame he is.January 5, 2018 at 10:03 am #1202456910
the guy from the food truck episode? Why am I not surprised he would do something that stupid. I’m sure he is at home eating waffles and crying.January 11, 2018 at 8:54 am #1202464186

Relieved that Joe was safe but I am kinda glad Brother got eliminated. That wasn’t German….at all.January 14, 2018 at 4:12 am #1202466913
Sad for Brother Luck! Best name EVER, BTW! But yes, egg rolls for a German cooking challenge was bizarre. I can’t imagine anyone overcoming that sort of obstacle. It looks like Last Chance Kitchen is back in action again. Between Brother Luck and Tu, I’m personally rooting for Tu. Also disappointed thang LeAnn had to leave the show, but her pregnancy comes first. Fatima was totally right though. She would have mopped the floor with the majority of the chefs this season b/c she’s that fierce. I don’t really support veterans coming back in new season since that’s what All-Stars is for, but at least she would have been deserving as one contestant from so long ago.January 18, 2018 at 9:55 am #1202470140

That elimination annoyed me. A lot.January 20, 2018 at 4:43 am #1202471717
I knew from the edits that one of two results would happen. Either Bruce’s big dad news would lead to a distraction/overconfidence and get him eliminated, or Tonya’s “attitude” would cost her in judges’ table (though the previews where she talked back to Gail Simmons was telling). Claudette really did rely on Tonya in prep to a large degree, and Tonya’s dishes suffered in the process. On the other hand, Tonya’s chef cuts were all poor, and she misread the temperature on the lamb horribly. I guess the right call was made for elimination, but I’m sad to see her go. Too few women of color chefs have been on this series historically, and now it’s basically all on either Adrienne’s or Fatima’s shoulders to make history with LeAnn out. “Da Bears” dominated in these Olympic-themed Games, so good for them. They are so extra with their exuberance, but I kinda dig that. I think moustached Joe is making the finale barring any major upsets and “Last Chance Kitchen” shenanigans. Restaurant Wars next, bitches!January 20, 2018 at 7:23 am #1202471777
I hope Tonya does well in LCK.January 20, 2018 at 9:03 am #1202471874
Bye Tonya. I could’ve been on her side regarding Claudette but then going after Gail and specially Carrie, I wanted her gone. And she really screwed up the challenge so whatever.
The Nutella challenge was a bit ridiculous. I’m glad Carrie won for being the only one who thought of something different. Every other dish was a variation of a sweet breakfast messy dish any of us could’ve done.January 20, 2018 at 9:16 am #1202471882
Although Claudette tried to throw Tanya under the bus like she did with Adrienne, I couldn’t really side with Tanya on this one. She didn’t say anything when Claudette wanted the Speed round. She pretended like she was being a team player but if she was a team player she would have fought for the challenge that she was the best at instead of a challenge where she didn’t know the right temperature and couldn’t do the cuts correctly. And the attitude she gave to everyone, like being a sore loser regarding The Bears, and snapping at Gail and Carrie for no reason. What did Carrie do to deserve that?
Also, since the beginning it’s been clear that Bruce has some kind of in with everybody, he knows all the judges and Brooke, and the show spent way more time talking about him being a dad than they ever did about LeeAnn being pregnant. She was just gone without any spectacle.
Anyway, I think Claudette might end up being a problem in Restaurant Wars since she doesn’t seem to be very good at team challenges. It’ll be interesting to see who has the most problems with that challenge.
