Personally I would KEEP Joe around becuause everyone hates him. It’s a Russell kinda situation.
yea as a player that is the best choice … as a viewer im not happy
Same here lol. I tend to get so involved in this show that I’m practically playing along. Rooting for Dr Mike or Ryan (and oddly JP but I hate JP too lol)November 29, 2017 at 11:06 am #1202424768

Well….pretty happy JP is gone (same for Joe). I an a weird way I feel like Devin is really going unnoticed and if he wins immunity like crazy now I wouldn’t be surprised.November 30, 2017 at 11:13 am #1202425770
Hahaha, everything I thought would happen was dead wrong. LOL. But I’m cool with it. I felt kind of bad for JP, but it’s not like he seemed to be doing much in terms of playing the game, and he looked pretty fantastic with that haircut he’d gotten in the second episode last night. The whole jury looks great right now.
I was really torn on the Joe vote. Obviously I’ve disliked him for weeks now and wanted him gone, but getting rid of Ben would have been a really smart game move in some ways. I couldn’t decide if it would be more satisfying to have Joe taken down about 10 pegs (his pretense of this strong alliance of five with equal voice and all that was beyond obnoxious) or Ben get screwed by the whole secret spy thing. Chrissy’s parting comment to Joe about what a strong alliance that was was the best.
The thing that really bugged me this episode is that all Chrissy, Ryan and JP seemed to be doing was sticking with and trusting their alliance, and once Lauren formed her quartet to flip things, they all started acting like the other three were being criminally arrogant, complacent, etc. It was like they needed to justify their own traitorous behavior by making like the other three had done something wrong, and they couldn’t just say that this is how the game is played and it was time to make a move. This was especially irritating because it seems like Ben and Lauren have been the ones calling the shots in the alliance of seven anyway, so they had really no reason to be mad. I get Devon being hurt that Ryan also told Ben about his idol, though I don’t think that warrants ganging up with three other people necessarily. But it’s all fair in terms of winning the game. It also felt like a jerk move for Devon, Lauren and Ben to talk the food and skip out on the first immunity challenge, and I’m surprised it didn’t set off some alarms. These were three of the four people who had just had a food reward and were suddenly feeling more confident than the rest of their alliance.
Devon’s an interesting character. At first, he was talking about how well he’s playing the game, and he sounded delusional. He’s been going along with plans that work for him so far, and that’s been about it. But then he had the double agent idea, which was really smart. We’ll see how strategic he actually is now that we’re getting down to the nitty gritty. I’m pulling for Ryan, but I like everyone who’s left.December 1, 2017 at 1:23 am #1202426463
I liked Joe a lot because I related to his “tell it like I see it, be straight with people whether they like it or not” social game. I couldn’t help but not get that mad at him even when he rudely insulted Ashley by calling her a “goat.” Sometimes I myself can be an asshole while speaking my honest opinions, like Joe. But most of the time I feel like I let myself get stepped over or will keep quiet so as not to risk hurting other people’s feelings. If I ever played Survivor I wouldn’t play it the way Joe did. However, I always root for the villains more often on Survivor in general. Russell Hantz is my all-time favorite player for a reason.
I almost hate how much I admired Joe and his just not caring about how people reacted to him in a game as social as Survivor. He was smart, didn’t take shit from people, all while clearly having fun playing the game and I will always respect that about him.
Right now I just want Ben to get voted out, he’s smug, I think he is fake as shit, and I’ve been wanting him gone for weeks now. I want Ryan and Mike to get together and figure out a plan to make it to the end.
I’ve been loving this season so far, but if Ben does win I think I’ll only end up liking it in hindsight.December 1, 2017 at 6:19 am #1202426577
I think getting rid of joe was Smart , Jp was a non entity and a throw away vote , they should have gone for Chrissy or Ryan whom are both bigger threats.
I think at this point they have to get Ben out , as aragont as he has come off on tv the only person who really dislikes him is Joe . i think he is pretty unbeatable in the finale .
I think Ryan , Devon , Ashley , lauren , Chrissy are all playing hard but they need to start thinking about who they want to sit next to in the finale . I dont know about mike, i think it was unwise of him to aligin with joe and he should ahve worked to make friends with the other people … but i think now with joe gone he might stay around a bit .
I think for Ben to win he should sit next Mike and Ryan
I think for Mike to win he should sit next to Chirssy and Lauren
I think for Ryan to win he should be next to Ashley and Chrissy
I think for Lauren to win she needs to be next to Mike and Ashley
I think for Mike to win he would have to go with Devon and Ryan
I think for Devon to win he would have to go with Chrissy and Mike
I think for Ashley to win she should go with Mike and Chrissy
I think Devon and Ryan played similar games and will split votes
i think chrissy is unliked and cold
I think Lauren, ben and Ashley will ahve idfficult defeneding and articulating thier game moves
I think mike would be very good in the finale if he was sitting with people that others were mad at

I like Dr. Mike a lot, but he’s unfortunately not been able to create any good path for himself. It’s admirable he’s been able to stay as long as he has, mostly by being on a winning tribe and seeming less dangerous/annoying that the other guy. He original tribe of healers were champing at the bit to vote him out, but they never had to go to tribal council. His next tribe never had to go to tribal council either, and then, after agreeing they would stick together, Ben and Lauren instead went with the other heroes and hustlers at the merge. He made a deal with the alliance of seven and voted with them, only for them to turn around and be jerks to him. He tried to get something started with Joe, and thought it worked with the alliance of five (actually six) voting out JP. But that came crumbling down too when they ousted Joe. Even if he gets to the end, it’s been pretty clear all along that people have neither liked him to a great degree nor respected his game enough to worry about keeping him around over others (Jessica, Desi, Cole, Joe).
People don’t seem to love Chrissy necessarily, but I think everyone recognizes that she’s a smart player who has gotten some things done, and they respect her for it. I think the order right now of who is mostly likely to get votes to least likely is:
MikeDecember 4, 2017 at 10:05 am #1202429185
Maybe. My perception of the contestants and what others think about them tends to be wrong anyway. I remember thinking during the Gen X v. Millennials season that Hannah had basically destroyed Adam at final tribal council, and that was totally totally incorrect.December 7, 2017 at 4:45 am #1202432031
Lauren made a lot of mistakes last night….not surpried. Kinda wondering if Devon could win this now since he is the nicest one there at this point lolDecember 7, 2017 at 9:50 am #1202432320
I love these episodes where a select few feel they’re on the bottom at the start of it and then in the end none of those people are even in danger of getting voted out.
Lauren did make a lot of mistakes, which was surprising to me considering she’d played pretty well so far. It seemed like her big mistake was thinking that since she proposed that sub-alliance of four all of those people were loyal and trustworthy to her? I was really surprised when she yelled out to the rest of the group that they missed the idol, and then shocked when she gave half of it to Mike. Divine intervention could not have made Mike trust these people after what they’ve done to him over the course of this game. If she didn’t want to go home, all she had to do was plan to play the idol. Even without knowing Ben had one, that would have saved her.
So Ben seems kinda done, but who even knows. Maybe after this vote, Ryan and reform his alliance with Devon and Chrissy and get to the end that way? As much as I admire him for lasting this long, it still seems like no one wants Mike around.
