WOW. Ok so the lesson they all learned was don’t feel safe. Ciera was a complete and unnecessary blindside. Sandra could have worked with her and caused a whole lot of other blindsides. Tony….well the guy ran into the jungle screaming about finding an idol and Xena yelled so that happened. He screwed himself from day one. Feel obliged to address how damn boring the other tribe was. Other then Ozzy and Cirie, it was just running a bit too well….thank goodness for tribe switches lol. Also, Ozzy is part fish I’m convinced.

WOW I think it was an amazing episodeI think that both Tony and Ceira fell prey to there earily impressions and the baggage they brough with them from their own seasons. I mean these are two good players who were cut down before they could do any damage, I dont know if there was a way for tony to survive this episode with his tribe losing twice , i think he is just to “sneaky” and that just puts people on edge .

    loved it

the other tribe didnt get much screen time and i hope they dont focus on this cerie/ ozzy drama , hoping Ozzy can grow up and get over it . because I love Cerie and would love to see her go far and even win

The Cirie/Ozzie tribe may have had more drama than was let on, but frankly they had a lot of players who I don’t think really qualify as a game changer, or maybe I’m just not remembering some of their work. Andrea, Sarah, Sierra?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the two episodes, and the fact that that tribe couldn’t not be in a fairly overt power struggle from day one. I’m not a big fan of Ciera, so I didn’t mind them voting her out. She just made herself too easy of an option. The Tony vs. Sandra showdown, on the other hand, seemed so unnecessary. They kept saying that needed to keep the team strong, and I just kept seeing Hali, Troyzan and Varner doing terribly in the challenge. If Tony and Sandra hadn’t been so eager to take one another out, it seems like they could have easily shifted votes onto one of them. I really hope they go after Sandra soon. I haven’t seen either of her previous seasons, but she’s bugging me in this one, especially with her outburst after Tony was voted out. But switching up the tribes will mitigate that for sure.

What if find interesting about a returning player’s season is that dynamics of the players who have played together on prior seasons, It takes people out of the game they are playing and reminds them of the past issues they have had or not had with another individual. I think for the most part this kind of thinking is harmful and hurts both parties, I don’t think it’s wise for both cerie and ozzy to go at each other , as the only two returning players that have played a fourth time they have big targets on their backs and could use each other . I think if they continue to bicker and not trust each other they both will lose.

The only time I can think of using past relationships as a positive was when Parvati was able to tell Amanda was lying in HVV because she had worked so closely with her in Micronesia. Other than that I think its harmful.

People who have connections that could be issues
Sandra was on a season with Cerie and Jt , only played with JT
Cirie played on a tribe with JT in HVV, and then was in Micronesia with Ozzy
Tai, Aubry , Caleb and Debbie all on Koh Rang

Well….I was hoping that Caleb wasn’t going anywhere but it strikes me as odd. They need to win challenges so vote off a strong guy and leave the tribe with Brad as the only physical powerhouse? Just odd. Meanwhile on the other tribes, they are talking about goats and Bambi/stranding fellow cast members on a raft while he looks for an idol. and Ozzy and Cirie stuff. I think the green tribe actually is more interesting out of the three though personality wise. Last but not least: JT pretty much is writing his own send off for next week didn’t he.

I’m thrilled that Caleb went home, I am not a fan of that guy. I am surprised that they went with him over Hali, but that’s sort of providing a way to lift Hali up and show she’s actually here to play this time. I have to say that Hali, Zeke, and Culpepper are getting really good edits so far. They haven’t been involved in a lot of drama but have been getting confessionals and commenting on it. I think they make it far. I agree with you Vinny that JT is really cementing his demise next week. I can’t imagine him making it much farther. I’ll be surprised if he gets to merge. I’m surprised with Troyzan, good on him for getting that idol. I’m not sure what to make of Sierra and Andrea since they have barely existed this season. Same with Aubry, she has faded into the background here at the beginning, which to be fair happened on her first season so maybe she’ll put in a strong second half again. If Cirie and Ozzy actually team up which they hinted at, that would be the best for both of them.

Basically, I’m really excited to see where this goes. I can see quite a few people making it far and it makes it very exciting as a viewer to turn in every week.

but caleb didn’t help any tribe win immunity for the three challenges he was a part of , so how much was he really bringing to the table ?

I enjoyed Caleb and personally would have enjoyed for him to make it a bit farther, I think he is far more interesting than Hali. I do think it was a smarter choice to get rid of him. Tai was too close to him and from a challenge perspective he wasn’t winning them anyway, I think that tribe is kind doomed either way I’m not sure that they will be a dominant tribe. I think Brad played a nice subtle game last night and used Tai to his advantage and was able to swing the votes to Caleb. I think Tai and JT both are huge targets in the game and they don’t seem to be realizing that, they are playing without caution. Maybe by siding with the team and voting out Caleb, Tai is able to show his allegiance to the alliance.

I think Cerie and Ozzy are just as big of targets as Sandra and JT , I think that people who have played four times I think people can look at them as bit threats and if they don’t start to realize this and work together they won’t make it to the end , or they will in a situation with someone like Andrea and Malcom and they will lose. I think the winners and the four timers need to work together and protect each other, I think Cerie only wins if she takes Sandra and JT … or possibly “un”likeable people (Debbie …) Same goes with Ozzy.

I think right now the people with the best chance of the end are Andrea, Malcom, Zeke, Aubry, Sarah, troyzan
Middle people (I don’t know if they will leave soon or make it far) – Sandra , Seirra, Brad , Debbie, Jeff, Cerie , Ozzy, Hali , Michela

Seem to be going soon- Tai, Jt,

I’d imagine he would be more useful in a challenge then Debbie at that point in the game. In no way did I think he would win this whole show but thought he would at least be safe until merge.

Speculation on the street is that next Tribal is two tribes, one vote.

I have a hard time seeing this be a good twist if true, as it basically gives too much power to anyone in a majority alliance as they can flip to vote with the opposing tribe (Imagine if Mana goes back to tribal with a 3/2 split while the other tribe remains strong).

Now that is a twist…..would love it if they did it before the merge (like the last tribal before the merge and it would be down to two tribes in a perfect world)…just not at this point. Unless the merge is coming up soon?

That twist would be really interesting, especially as it’s still close enough to the previous tribe formation that people are mostly sticking with those allegiances. So now everyone has their current tribe, their former tribe, and whatever prior relationships they had before this season to consider. It might blow up the idea of the transient alliances that dominated last season. You can’t make a pact for just tonight if you don’t know what the other tribe at tribal will want to do.

I was pretty sad to see Caleb go. I thought he could be an interesting player, and we never really got to see him do anything other than win challenges his first time around, and here it was the opposite. While it’s true his team hadn’t won yet with him on it, they weren’t doing themselves any favors in that regard by getting rid of the most physical player in the game rather than someone who was maybe holding them back (like the other person who lost every immunity challenge, Hali). I get it, though. I like Tai a lot, but seems unaware of the need to keep some emotions close to the vest in this game. I’m not sure if his relationship with Caleb would have become such a big deal if he hadn’t made it one. It’s hard to see anyone really wanting to take Tai very far at this point, either. So far, he’s mostly proven that, much like the first time he played, thinking you’re his close ally likely means he’ll help vote you out.

Doesn’t seem like JT will get very far, either, but maybe he can find an idol, or convince them he’s found one. With such experienced players, it’s going to be important for these guys to be both very effective and very subtle in their machinations and manipulations, like Brad last week. That or just don’t seem like a threat at all, like Andrea.
