Damn I think Hunter’s right, discussing media responsibility for potential teen suicide clusters is getting a little old, let’s get back to talking about predix that have no effect on anyone’s lives and gushing about how the lead actress needs a nom, that’s all that matters.

As long as more people have something they want to say, the conversation is going to continue. We probably haven’t heard the last person chime in on this topic.

If talking about the show is making some people uncomfortable then they could feel free to not continue to talk about the show.

I hope to God that the Emmys ignore this completely with the exception of Kate Walsh. I won’t be upset if she gets in. Maybe even Langford as well. But if it’s anything else, it’ll be ridiculous. There are other shows/films that depict depression and suicide with a much better execution.

the whole subject matter of the show aside .

I dont think the show deserves any emmy nominations .. the acting was fine but in no universe is it on the same level as House of Cards , Fargo or any other drama i have watched this yea …

in terms of acting i put it around Iron Fist.

First off, the cast has been getting a ton of praise, and the two leads are great and have a ton of chemistry. Walsh was great in her one scene and I’m looking forward to more of her.

I’m pretty sure I dislike this show more than anyone on goldderby and it definitely doesn’t encourage suicide.

I’m not sure if I, or anyone on this thread ever said it encourages suicide, just that there are risk factors which I actually said in that original post, but of course you would cut that out. Plus, after thinking about it more and doing more research my opinion is allowed to change.
Yes, I thought the cast had good chemistry, what’s your point?

Just watched the first two episodes and I don’t see how this is even talked about being close to getting a nomination. If anything, it’s a Pretty Little Liars type of show with better cast and better tackling of an important issue.

The show is popular, critically acclaimed and a brand new show. The Emmys tend to nominate hot new shows in their debut season.

The Emmy Ballots are out and here are the submissions for 13RW. Turns out it was submitted for writing and the list posted before wasn’t complete. Also, Alisha Boe was submitted.

OUTSTANDING SINGLE-CAMERA PICTURE EDITING FOR A DRAMA SERIES

Well I’m glad that Alisha Boe was submitted, but I’m still baffled that they did not submit Greg Araki for Directing and still find the submissions for Wilson Cruz and Steven Weber odd to say the least.

I would have liked to see submissions for Brian James D’arcy and Derek Luke among the adult cast and Devin Druid and Billy Flynn for the teen cast.
