    Overall, a very nice set of nominees although you could see them reaching in some categories. Jovan Adepo?

    Interesting for those predicting him at the Emmys that Barry Jenkins couldn’t even get a directing nod here.

    Dear White People couldn’t get series either. I’m gonna blame it on timing though because it was brand new during nominations. Emmy voters had more time. It got a couple of acting nominations but those categories weren’t as strong.

    AND YAAAS FOR AISHA HINDS!!!!!!! Finally somebody gets it right by double nominations my girl. And she’ll be a competitor for a double winner to.

    These are honesty 10X better than I’m expecting the Emmys to be.

    And yes yes yes to Chewing Gum.

    I think next year’s nominations will be better overall. I mean a lot of things don’t make sense;

    •Dear White People not in series, but managed two lead acting noms
    •Empire in Writing and Directing + 4 acting, but no series nod
    •Power in series, but no acting and no writing or directing noms
    •Master of None in Writing and Directing and Guest Actress, but no series nod

    Out of the two, Lakeith Stanfield actually gave a Comedic Supporting Performance, same reason I believe Stanfield would get in before BTH at Emmys.

    It’s not like the emmys don’t reward more dramatic performances in comedy so I’m hoping you’re wrong. I would love for both to be nominated but I thought Henry was the biggest standout of the entire cast. The show was also his as much as it was Glover’s. In a perfect world Henry would be nominated lead, and Glover wouldn’t even be nominated for acting.

    I’m uberfan of Power. It pwas Empire so much it’s not even funny. And Omari Hardwick is like the hottest chocolate man on TV right now. In words of St. Amanda Bynes: I want him to murder my vagina.
