Surprised nobody has posted about these yet. They nominate people based on episodes.

These were interesting, I have never heard of this group and imagine most Emmy voters haven’t either.  I guess this group just decided which episodes they thought actors should be nominated for? Amy Poehler’s and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ submissions were kind of interesting, not bad but not what I would have picked for them.

I honestly dont know what to make of these awards. It doesn’t seem very legit. It would help if they listed all the members and gave more information as to how the group was formed, voting process, purpose, etc…

But the nominations are good. The Tina Fey/Aaron Paul snubs were weird though…

Nah.  Anyone that leaves out Aaron Paul does not have a legitimate voice as far as I am concerned.

    A few things I noticed:
    – Awake and House over Downton Abbey and The Good Wife in Drama Series.
    – The underated Happy Endings, The Middle, and Cougar Town over the overrated The Big Bang Theory, New Girl, and Glee in Comedy Series.
    – Too many unneccessary Animated categories, i.e. “Best Voice Actor in an Animated Series” and “Best Voice Actress in an Animated Series.”
    – In the comedy acting categories, contenders such as Don Cheadle, any of the Showtime ladies, Laura Dern, the men of the Modern Family cast {besides Burrell}, Betty White, and Cloris Leachman are all rightfully excluded for deserving nominees like Eden Sher, Busy Phillips, Jim Rash, Danny Pudi, James Van Der Beek, Garret Dillahunt, and Joel McHale. However, they still managed to nominate Melissa McCarthy, Diane Ladd, and Sofia Vergara.
    – In the drama acting categories, Jon Hamm, Steve Buschemi, Aaron Paul (which is the biggest crime an American television award show can do at this point), John Slattery, and Anna Gunn were all undeservedly left out. Instead, they opted to go for two Once Upon a Time cast members, Anjelica Houston, Kathryn Joosten
(who should have been in Comedy), Jason Isaacs, and Hugh Laurie.
    – No Colbert Report in Variety Series.
    – No Reality or Reality-Competition categories.
    – Most of the nominees are sporting odd submissions, i.e. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Poehler.
    – Overall, an average batch of nominess. The awards itself doesn’t look to be that legit though.

Martha Plimpton is also left out despite Garret Dillahunt being recognized.

Very interesting batch of nominees. Seems to be a bit of a blend of the perennial nominees, and then some of the less mainstream contenders.

This is the first year of the awards so I guess that’s why there is a bit of question mark in regards to their legitimacy and validity. If this awards association wants to get any serious attention and recognition, I would consider it wise for them to change their name. “Pan-American Association of Film and Television Journalists Association” is a shocking (and very long) name for an awards show.

Just finished watching the entire first season of Veep and I have to say that I’m very surprised they picked “Baseball” for Julia.

    I keep checking for them.

They had way too many nominees, but I appreciate another precursor and one that brings something new, by way of choosing episodes and having technical categories.

This was a pretty shady outfit.   Wouldn’t be surprised if they never re-surfaced.

    For sure.

And they had the worst name ever, like SCDPCGC bad.
