DRAMA GUEST ACTRESS
Ellen Burstyn, Big Love • “Take Me As I Am”
Diahann Caroll, Grey’s Anatomy • “Love/Addiction”
Sharon Gless, Nip/Tuck • “Kyle Ainge”
Anjelica Huston, Medium • “Wicked Game (Part 2)”
Cynthia Nixon, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit • “Alternate”
I thought that I resurrect this catgeory. Who do you think should have won?
I am normally wary of actors playing multiple personalities because the writing can make or break how natural the performance of the multiple personalities (i.e. is it someone changing personalties within seconds just for the sake of changing personalties or does the writing let the need for the multiple personalties to flow).
Sharon Gless’ performance is haunting, but I was wishing that Diahann Carroll had more screentime because she is good in her brief scenes.
I would have said Anjelica Huston becuase she was that good (I’m not a fan of hers besides this, the Adams Family, and the role she won her Oscar for) but I can see how Nixon won too becuase she was equally as great.
