There have been many great TV moments this year. Walt kills Mike. Ben proposes to Leslie. Liz gets married. Lane kills himself. What are your favorite TV moments of this past year?
Mad Men had a bit of a comeback. So has 30 Rock. Luck was a one season wonder. But there have been so many shows that had disappointing, iffy seasons. It’s been a step back from 2011, which wasn’t that impressive either.
I think the series finale of Desperate Housewives was good. And the series finale of The Closer was even better. Two of my most favorite shows ever, that I was sad to see go. But DH needed to go. However, The Closer could have lived on even longer.
I just watched the season 3 finale of Louie, which I think has been done perfectly. It’s very rare for American television series to show an accurate, authentic image of foreign countries. It was beautiful to see a China (which I guess has not a very good image in the U.S.) so friendly and welcoming. Great job, Louis C.K.
Other memorable moments for me were series finales of some of my favorite shows, in particular Desperate Houewives, Weeds, and Damages. I just always love to see how they wrap up those stories.
Memorable new shows are Veep, The Newsroom, Dallas, Go On, The New Normal, Nashville, Ben and Kate, as well as The Neighbors.
