    Intersting list. My thoughts:

-They really like Up All Night
    -No Mad Men in Drama?
    -No 30 Rock love?
    -Happy for Happy Endings…
-Great to see both, Britton and Panettiere, in Drama Lead Actress… I think both are great!
-And I’m happy for Evan Peters and Neal McDonough…

Some shows were horribly snubbed (The people of 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Raising Hope and New Girl, to name just a few) but overall, I think it’s a decent list of deserving nominees…

Giancarlo Esposito? I’m thrilled but his final episode aired on October 2011. What was the voting period for these awards?

    Other interesting observations:
No Aaron Paul or Anna Gunn. Why?
No Elisabeth Moss but at least Christina Hendricks and Jon Hamm are in
Not one single acting nod for “Modern Family”!
Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco also in, along with Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, that’s nice!
2 deserved nods for “Community”: comedy and Joel McHale
I’m happy for Neal McDonough too!
You can snub her but I know that Jane Krakowski is still the most brilliant supporting player in comedy that ever was!
Deserved nods for Danes and Lewis but Mandy Patinkin continues to be neglected, that’s too bad
My very favorite Sigourney Weaver is recognized which is nice!

Yeah, the Giancarlo nom is very confusing. According to the website, the eligibility period if the calendar year, which eliminates him. Heck, there is no calendar year that makes any sense because Esposito’s last Breaking Bad was October 9, 2011, and Nashville premiered October 10, 2012.

Maybe it’s a typo and his nomination is for Revolution?

Also, Enlightened didn’t air in 2012. The first season finale was December 12, 2011.

Speaking of snubs, no Lange for AHS.

Happy that “The Crimson Petal and the White” got 2 nominations.

    No Jessica Lange? That’s interesting.
I heard some good things about Chloe Sevigny’s performance in Hit & Miss, but never thought it would get recognized anywhere since it was on DirecTv.

This award has no credibility in terms of eligibility period. Glenn Close was nominated for the second time when season 2 of Damages didn’t even air. So no surprise they include Laura Dern and Giancarlo Esposito here.

They usually nominate things that didn’t air, but this year they really went overboard. “Luther”, Idris Elba, Giancarlo Esposito and Laura Dern shouldn’t be on the list because the work didn’t actually exist.

Now, Mayim Bialik’s chances at getting a Golden Globe nom are WAY up! If she can get into a league of nominees like that, then the GG noms shouldn’t be a hard hurdle to get through. Also, no Louie in Comedy Series?! WTF!

Lange not being nominated for AHS: Murder House stung for a minute but then I remembered that the Press Academy did indeed bestow Lange with an award for her performance as Constance Langdon.  Last year, when the show wasn’t even eligible.

“Mandy Patinkin continues to be neglected, that’s too bad”

So true…  Powers Boothe got in for that moustache-twirling role, over Patinkin? Nooo….
No Mad Men for drama but that soapy Nashville gets in? Huh?

Interesting to note that Game of Thrones is in “drama” and not “genre.”

    Pleased to see Justified represented.

These awards are f u c k i n g ridiculous! Once again they nominated people who  didn’t even worked the year they got nominated for. Absolutely hilarious! lol

Those nominations are a joke.  Terrible nominations overall.
