    Boomer, do you and the GD team plan on schedule follow-up interviews with some of the contenders? I really hope we’ll be able to provide submission tips to the people we now know are nominated, who we didn’t think would be nominated before!

    I’m just noticing John Benjamin Hickey got in for The Big C. Very deserved nomination. Better than Scott Bakula or the predicted but failed nomination for Rob Lowe…

    I’m digging the Breaking Bad love you’ve got going on here. Plus the Krakowski prediction. Here’s hoping!

    Not much to say.  Top 3 snubs:

    1) No Continuum, the best drama series hardly anyone’s watching and victim of a petty, unnecessary rule.
    2) No Craig Ferguson again; rampant disrespect for late night’s best talk show host;
    2a) Television’s #1 show and scripted series gets one measly nomination (NCIS);
    3) Only 3 nominations for The Newsroom, 10 too few.

    Not a snub; Tatiana Maslany. The gimmick that is her performance was rightfully seen as naked, shameless bait, and not just bait, bait on a Hargitay/Kaczmarek scale. Netflix is not a legitimate broadcast network, therefore should’ve been DQ’d from drama and comedy and instead moved to online awards. Today was one more example that we need to split the award giving into premium cable and everything else.  When two broadcast networks can’t even add their numbers together that falls short of HBO’s 108 noms (CBS 53, NBC 50), it’s time to realize the Academy disrespects broadcast TV.

    Replace Damien Lewis with Bryan Cranston and Q&A with one of the Breaking Bad episodes and that’s my predictions at the moment.

    In some categories at the predictions center, there are seven nominees instead of six. However, the predictions center will only allow us to pick six nominees out of seven.

    I noticed that too. I just left out Connie Britton and Jane Lynch

    Disappointed that “Mad Men” couldn’t make it into Costumes, again.

    NO “Rains of Castamere” in directing? Tsk, tsk, voters.

    Kind of interesting seeing all of these seven nominee categories. Spreading the love and all it seems, or an abundance of ties in the voting.

    All of these big snubs are still very unfortunate to see happen this year.

    And where is Film Turtle? I need someone to commiserate with over the annual Harry Shearer snub.

    It’s kind of funny that, even with seven nominees this year, Julianna Margulies still couldn’t get in. Same thing happened to Jane Krakowski last year. Look at her. Not only did she make it back in, but she’s the frontrunner to win (in my mind)!

    At the moment Jane is the dark horse behind the Modern Family women, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she became a front runner.
