Such a great show. It always gets nominated in the Emmys but it just was nominated once in the Golden Globes. With the acclaim fourth season can GOT come back to Drama Series?

I think it will. It has had its most acclaimed season yet, it has the “cool facor” that the Globes love. But it doesn’t have all the red wedding hype it had last year, which I think could hurt it

Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.

I think the fact that GOT had been snubbed after only one series nod has something to do with seating shortage. Normally GG doesn’t ignore such a big and culturally relevant show like this.

No — it’s not new, and it doesn’t have big stars.

Golden Globe voters don’t care about quality. How do you explain them magically loving Breaking Bad after years of snubbing it?They’re sheep.

It depends if anything new jumps out and needs to be nominated. There’s at least one slot open.

Sadly, no. Once they’re done with you, they are really done. On the plus side, GoT did get nominated for series before and Dinklage won on his first nomination, so it at least got something.

Many TV shows have been nominated after being snubbed at the globes

24 was snubbed in 2005 after being nominated for 4 years straight and winning once, and then was nominated again in 2006
Just this year The Good Wife was nominated again after being snubbed for the last 2 years
Friends was nominated from 1995-1997 and was snubbed from 1998-2000 and was nominated again in 2001
The Office was snubbed in 2007 after being nominated in 2006, but returned the following year

So it is possible to be snubbed then nominated again at the Globes, but its not common.

Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.

The Good Wife and 24 make sense, but that snub for The Office is bizarre.

You would think that Game of Thrones would get nominated before Downton Abbey and Masters of Sex just because it is so hot, but that did not help it last year.

The Knick and The Leftovers are strong contenders to take the Breaking Bad slot.  Still, Game of Thrones is really popular, so I voted yes.  Last year showed that they can be accepting of older shows.
