Dolly Parton hinted in an interview that she, Lily Tomlin & Jane Fonda may be presenting……as nominees it is likely all will be attending so makes sense.

If they are doing it they should announce the comedy or drama series race.

We’ll see talent from upcoming CBS shows. I’m expecting any of David Boreanaz (SEAL Team), Jeremy Piven (Wisdom of the Crowd), Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery) and Shemar Moore (S.W.A.T) to present. It’d be the prime opportunity to have Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) and Iain Armitage (Young Sheldon) present together as well.

If only the awards were on NBC, the cast of Will & Grace would be perfect as presenters for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Anybody know the order of categories at the Creative Arts ceremonies yet? A list would also reveal which categories won’t have any winners because none of the nominees got enough votes.

I think Eric McCormick will included in the second group, because I don’t see how they don’t have him and Messing present together.

My bet is Falco presents Drama Actor and Kidman and Witherspoon present Movie/Mini Lead Actor

Falco will surely present Drama Lead Actor (Like Janney last year).

Janney and Faris might be the first presenters of the night presenting supporting actress.

    Nice to see Kumail presenting.

Messing NEEDS to present with McCormick.

I guess the Emmys don’t have an incentive to award Tom Hanks then, everybody would love to see him win an award.

But winners of the guest categories sometimes do attend the main ceremony

Don’t really follow the Emmys that closely, so I have to ask: Why would there be no winners for some categories?

FXX (not FX) will air an edited version of the Creative Arts ceremonies, which “should” include all four of the Guest Actor/Actress categories and the winners’ speeches, on Saturday 9/16 at 8:00 Eastern (repeated at 10:00 Eastern).

Some categories are what are called “juried” awards. These don’t have nominees; instead, every entry is viewed by a panel, or “jury,” of Academy members, and each one is given a separate yes-or-no vote; it takes something like an 11/12 majority vote to award an Emmy. It is possible for there to be multiple winners (the Individual Achievement in Animation category usually has five or so winners); it is also possible for there to be no winners.

Similarly, some of the “area” awards, where the voters give a yes-or-no vote to each nominee, have a rule where, if none of the nominees get at least a 50% “yes” vote, then none of them win an Emmy.
