The 2017 Emmy Awards nominations predictions center is now open. Jump in today and make your predictions in 16 categories.

The category placements are based on information we have received from networks and studios. They still have quite a few weeks to make changes or additions. When that happens, we will make those adjustments and let you know in this thread.

Thank you Chris for the hard work, and for officially making it Emmy Season at Gold Derby!! Pretty great for those of us who find the Oscars pretty boring at this point – but not as boring as “Feud”.

Thanks so much, Chris! Netflix hasn’t announced its premieres through the end of May, but, based on the center, it looks like Master Of None is expected to premiere before then and Bloodline is not.

Placements are expectedly in flux, with Armisen and Baldwin as supporting actors, Moore and Newton as leading actresses, and Farmiga as a supporting actress, and I suspect we’ll learn a lot more about placements for longform once the big projects (especially American Crime) premiere!

Awesome! So how accurate are some of these placements? Because Diane Keaton going lead in The Young Pope is ludicrous haha.

Interesting nuggets of info here re: category placement. Namely, Ventimiglia and Moore going lead (I get the rationalization, but it hurts their chances), Farmiga in supporting, Newton in lead, Regina King in lead (bloodbath of a category this year!), and no “Bloodline.” TV Movie seems a little weak outside of the obvious contenders.

My God, that has to be a mistake. She is not getting in regardless but still…

Why isn’t Wynona a choice for Drama Lead Actress?

Two need-to-be-added; Jameela Jamil (supporting actress, The Good Place) and Manny Jacinto (supporting actor, The Good Place).

Why would Thandie Newton submit in Lead? Is that a mistake or based on insider info? Same goes for Keaton. And if Ventimiglia is really going Lead he’s going to be getting a huge reality check come nomination morning. That’s insane.

Farmiga in supporting is smart though and I could see her breaking through there and getting one last nom for Bates
