Can we conclude that these categories are a hot mess haha? Last year it was pretty obvious who was getting nominated. This year, I have no idea. But that makes it so much fun

Put all of this and last year’s lead actress contenders into a single Emmys and Laura Dern would be the only nominee from this year.
I don’t think Weaving or Simpson get in here – the former because I see next to zero buzz about his performance
The buzz arrives this weekend! I will have to adopt your Fern > Shannon order if Fahrenheit 451 does not bounce back into the fifties. I swapped out Jason Ritter and Ellen Burstyn for Elizabeth Debicki when the trailer dropped. Of course, the Behind the Candelabra trailer billed Dan Aykroyd and Rob Lowe, then it ended up being Scott Bakula who was the only supporting actor nominee, but it makes more sense to take things at face value than automatically figuring that there is trickery at play.May 17, 2018 at 12:37 am #1202548742
Riley, are you guys recording on Friday?

We will for these categories at least, if not also an update for comedy and drama. And just a reminder that recording on Friday means publishing sometime soon after Friday.May 17, 2018 at 12:43 am #1202548747
I don’t buy that voters are going to see Fern as the next Sterling K. Brown. He can still get nominated since it’s a pretty weak category but he’s for sure not winning.May 17, 2018 at 1:15 am #1202548789
Lol, Fahrenheit 451 has a 49 on MC. No way I am predicting this for much. Please let them snub Jordan, Evan Peters deserves that spot SO much more!!!!

I think The Looming Tower could be the Emmy version of The Post. By that I mean nobody really cares about it but the reviews are decent and the prestige carries it to sole nominations for the program and it’s lead.May 17, 2018 at 4:28 pm #1202549274
Slugfests postponed again, for another week.May 17, 2018 at 4:56 pm #1202549286

I don´t think Ricky Martin will be nominated. In Shannon slot i will put Victor Dixon.May 17, 2018 at 9:11 pm #1202549371
I also have BVD getting in for Superstar. He owned the show, especially compared to John Legend, whose acting was almost as weak as his falsetto.May 18, 2018 at 8:10 am #1202549537

I still don’t get how he would get nominated. The season isn’t as big as the first one to have bunch of acting nominations. For me, even predicting Criss, Ramirez and Cruz seems too much. Besides these three and Light, I don’t think anyone else could get in.
