The Deuce should be winning so it’s a shame it’ll be ignored.

It’s my favorite soap opera of last year! So addictive. I’ve binge-watched the shit out of it. And Maggie Gyllenhaal should be getting nominated for it. She was soooo gooood.

COMEDY Series: Atlanta Lead actor: Glover, and Danson has a shot if he is nominated Lead actress: Janney vs Ross, with Messing being the frontrunner if she gets a nomination (Brie, maybe?) Supporting actor: Burgess finally if he is elegible? Maybe Sean Hayes or Louie Anderson? Supporting actress: McKinnon will probably win here, and it will be very boring. Metcalf could be benefited from Oscar campaign and pulls an upset DRAMA Series: Handmaid’s vs GoT Lead actor: Brown or Tim Robbins Lead actress: Moss, but Maslany is close behind (if they remember to nominate her) Supporting actor: Harbour or Dinklage Supporting actress: Dowd again, but I suspect that she may goes guest this year. Lena Headey vs Thandie Newton, perhaps? LIMITED SERIES/MOVIE Limited series: Sharp Objects Movie: Paterno Lead actor: Al Pacino Lead actress: Amy Adams Supporting actor: Ramírez (no idea here) Supporting actress: Lansbury

    Movie: The Tale

Actress: Laura Dern, maybe Jessica Biel

Even though I love the show, that comparison makes no sense.

I don’t think they’ll snub Clarke. I think she’ll be a perennial nominee until the end. Especially after having to carry every scene for Kit Harrington this past season.

I’m predicting Clark and Williams to be snubbed because I can’t find room for them. Headey is going to get in before them, Bobby Brown was able to get a SAG nomination while they weren’t, Newton will surely be back, and then we have The Handmaids Tale with Strahovsky, Dowd, Wiley, and Bledel. I think THT Would get multiple acting nominations before GoT at this point. And we can’t forget about Chrissy Metz. That’s already 8 contenders.

I could see Bledel making it in, but with Offred being *spoilers* taken away, I’m not sure how present Dowd will be. Dowd’s awards run definitely feels like a career achievement. She didn’t really have an arc like the rest of the supporting players in the show. She’s great but I was very shocked they embraced her. Also, Game of Thrones could just pull a Westworld and overperform despite buzz dying off since September.

I think I’m going to drop Metz from my predictions and predict Moore in lead. I think passion is growing for her like it was for Metz season one, especially on social media.

It is a very stacked category and I hope there’s some ties to make room for some more. Williams will probably return for the final season.

As much as I love Brown, I wish Ryder would get nominated instead if there can only be room for one.

Strahovsky, Wiley and Bedel could benefit from Dowd going Guest. She already won last year for Supporting and was also nominated for Guest. Like @perksofbeinggriff said, she might not be as present as in the first season, so it would be smarter to help the other supporting actresses in the show. If the second season doesn’t suffer from a sophomore slump, I’m predicting The Handmaid’s Tale to have the most acting nominations.

After Dowd’s unlikely awards run, I think she’ll be given more material this season. Maybe her storylines don’t happen in the present but there can still be flashbacks.
