Christopher Meloni gives the best male performance of the year in Happy! and should be winning Emmy in a cakewalk. SyFy has to campaign hard for him because performance like this cannot get unnoticed. He’s so fucking good. Like out of this world good. And the show is like the funniest thing ever but so fucked up your head’s gonna explode.

Is Baldwin going to appear in enough episodes to even be eligible for supporting? Is someone keeping track?

He’s been in 5/13 episodes. So he’ll probably remain guest eligible. But he will also guest star on Will & Grace. I can imagine him submitting supporting since it won him and Emmy last year and so he can get a guest nom for Will & Grace.

I actually hated his original guest arc on Will & Grace and thought his Emmy nomination was so unwarranted.

It’s a quiet year for Limited Series and TV Movie this year.

    Limited Series:

    Alias Grace
    The Alienist
    American Horror Story: Cult
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
    Genius
    Godless

    Gunpowder
    The Long Road Home
    Mosaic

    Movie:

    Black Mirror: Hang the DJ
    Black Mirror: USS Callister
    Cocaine Godmother
    Fahrenheit 451 (?)
    Flint
    My Dinner with Hervé (?)
    Paterno

I don’t even think he’ll get nominated in either Supporting or Guest. Talk about him has been nonexistent.

Why oh why did BBCA air the final season of Orphan Black last summer instead of in the spring? Tatiana is their only Emmy Hope aside from Blue Planet II, and that show has been absolutely forgotten.

I’d gladly see Mosaic and The Long Road Home replaced with The Looming Tower and Trust. I didn’t hear of those two and the creative teams and plots look enticing for the Emmys.

My question is: since Grace and Frankie has been building on nominations recently, will it get into series/a supporting player get in? Season 4 is getting rave reviews, with some calling it it’s best season yet, so I predict both Fonda and Tomlin to come back. If a supporting player gets in, the only one with a shot would be June Diane Raphael. Or it could build in nominations and Lisa Kudrow could get in for Guest.

Other than that, I think it’s only shot on building in nominations is Comedy Series. Or, with Dreyfus out of the loop, this could be the year that Tomlin (or Fonda, to a lesser extent) finally wins!

Ok I know the show has been off Emmy radar for a bit but Law & Order: SVU has been on fire this season.

I am a couple episodes behind. It’s too bad that the show is so far off the Emmy radar. I remember an episode this season that Hargitay was SO GOOD in. Unfortunately, I think the time has long gone for this series. The only hope it has for an Emmy nomination ever again is if someone like Betty White guest stars.

I would agree both Fonda and Tomlin are returning and Grace and Frankie stands a decent chance of landing a Comedy Series nom. Raphael would be a richly deserving nominee, Kudrow not so much (unless name rec carries the day).
