I know it’s early but we’ve started talking about it in the movie section. Why not start here and now? Can’t wait to see just how wrong I am 😀

    Here’s my current predictions:

    Comedy Ensemble
    THE BIG BANG THEORY
    MODERN FAMILY
    ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
    TRANSPARENT
    VEEP

Female Actor in a Comedy Series
Uzo Aduba / ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Ellie Kemper / UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT
    Julia Louis-Dreyfus / VEEP
    Sarah Jessica Parker / DIVORCE
Lily Tomlin / GRACE AND FRANKIE

Male Actor in a Comedy Series
Tituss Burgess / UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT
    Ty Burrell / MODERN FAMILY
    William H. Macy / SHAMELESS
Jim Parsons / THE BIG BANG THEORY
    Jeffrey Tambor / TRANSPARENT

    Drama Ensemble
    BETTER CALL SAUL
    DOWNTON ABBEY
    GAME OF THRONES
    HOUSE OF CARDS
    THE PEOPLE VS. OJ SIMPSON

Female Actor in a Drama Series
Viola Davis / HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER
Julianna Margulies / THE GOOD WIFE
Sarah Paulson / THE PEOPLE VS. OJ SIMPSON
    Maggie Smith / DOWNTON ABBEY
Robin Wright / HOUSE OF CARDS

Male Actor in a Drama Series
    Kyle Chandler / BLOODLINE
Peter Dinklage / GAME OF THRONES
    Anthony Hopkins / WESTWORLD
Bob Odenkirk / BETTER CALL SAUL
Kevin Spacey / HOUSE OF CARDS

Female Actor in a Miniseries or Movie
Diane Keaton / THE YOUNG POPE
Melissa Leo / ALL THE WAY
Audra McDonald / LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL
    Anika Noni Rose / ROOTS
    Kerry Washington / CONFIRMATION

Male Actor in a Miniseries or Movie
Bryan Cranston / ALL THE WAY
    James Franco / 11.22.63
    Anthony Hopkins / THE DRESSER
Jude Law / THE YOUNG POPE
    Ian McKellen / THE DRESSER

    Stunt Ensemble
    THE BLACKLIST
    DAREDEVIL
    GAME OF THRONES
    JESSICA JONES
    THE WALKING DEAD

    * I think The People vs OJ Simpson will be in Drama to try and get that Ensemble nomination.

    What’s everyone else’s predictions?

Homeland will not be eligible because it is airing its sixth season in January

Oh thank you. Didn’t realise it wasn’t coming until 2017. I will adjust my predictions.

My above predictions have been adjusted without Homeland.

I have also removed Blythe Danner and Benedict Cumberbatch from the Miniseries/Movie categories to add in Diane Keaton and Jude Law for the HBO miniseries The Young Pope.

OITNB, Uzo Aduba, Jeffrey Tambor, Downton Abbey, Viola Davis and Kevin Spacey will be the winners. I am not sure about the Limited Series/Movie categories just yet.

With the success that The Closer had getting in here I think another TNT program, Animal Kingdom may get in as well as Ellen Barkin. It’s unusual for a program to get in here for their first year but I have a funny feeling, hopefully the show holds up as the season progresses.

I think if The People vs. OJ Simpson were to submit for Limited Series, Sarah Paulson would knock out Anika Noni Rose or Diane Keaton from Actress, and Courtney B. Vance & Sterling K. Brown would knock out James Franco and either Ian McKellen or Anthony Hopkins (don’t know which was better). Because of this, I think it would be better for The People vs. OJ Simpson to submit in Limited Series over Drama Series, despite the lack of an Ensemble nomination.

I predict Viola & Taraji getting double noms. They both have films coming out during Oscar season.

    Drama Ensemble:

    Downton Abbey
    (Empire? Better Call Saul?)
    Game of Thrones

    House of Cards
    The People vs OJ Simpson

    Comedy Ensemble:

    The Big Bang Theory
    Modern Family
    Orange Is The New Black
    Transparent
    Veep

Male Actor in a Drama Series:

Sterling K. Brown, The People vs OJ Simpson
    Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
    Rami Malek, Mr. Robot
    Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul
    Kevin Spacey, House of Cards

Female Actor in a Drama Series:

Viola Davis, How To Get Away With Murder
    Taraji P. Henson, Empire
Sarah Paulson, The People vs OJ Simpson
    Maggie Smith, Downton Abbey
    Robin Wright, House of Cards

Male Actor in a Comedy Series:

    Ty Burrell, Modern Family
    William H. Macy, Shameless
Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory
    Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family
    Jeffrey Tambor, Transparent

Female Actor in a Comedy Series:

    Uzo Aduba, OITNB
Mayim Bialik, The Big Bang Theory
    Ellie Kemper, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
    Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep
    Laurie Metcalf, Getting On

Male Actor in a TV Movie/Miniseries:

    Bryan Cranston, All The Way
    Tom Hiddleston, The Night Manager
    Anthony Hopkins, The Dresser
    Anthony Mackie, All The Way

    Forest Whitaker, Roots

Female Actor in a TV Movie/Miniseries:

    Olivia Colman, The Night Manager
    Melissa Leo, All The Way
    Anna Paquin, Roots
    Charlotte Rampling, London Spy
    Kerry Washington, Confirmation

This is the least progressive group. Not predicting any new shows outside of The People vs OJ Simpson. Sterling K. Brown & Sarah Paulson’s mini-standing O at the Emmys led me to putting them in there. Taraji is popular enough to get in – she was affected by the bias against first year show last time. Mackie & Rampling are big movie stars.

He should definitely be in there (I just feel like Brown’s Emmy win was better received/hailed than Vance’s), I just didn’t know who to take out to put in Vance. These lazy asses just name-check people. I don’t see them dropping Dinklage who hasn’t been awards-worthy for 3 seasons now.
