    My Analysis:

    1. 14 nominees for Drama Series and 13 nominees for Comedy Series? That’s actually fantastic because underrated and ignored shows like Parenthood, Rectify, Suburgatory and Enlightened can be nominated.
    2. No The Simpsons in Animated Series!? That’s shocking…
    3. Fantastic lineup for Comedy Actor – Jim Parsons, Jon Cryer and Don Cheadle missing is not a problem in my books
    4. Vera Farmiga in Drama Actress is fantastic. I have been hoping for her to be nominated at as many award shows as possible to give her Emmy credibility
    5. Once again, no The Simpsons in either Writing or Directing. *tsk tsk tsk*
    6. The biggest surprise – no Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet or Jesse Tyler Ferguson – a very welcome set of snubs. Nolan Gould deserved to be nominated from that sinking show. Absolutely fantastic that three AD guys got into Comedy Supp. Actor
    7. Again? No Simpsons even in Voiceover Performance? Does the PAAFTJ have some vendetta against the greatest animated show ever made? Even a nomination for Hank Azaria or Harry Shearer would be fine
    8. Incredibly ecstatic that David Lynch made it into Guest Actor. I really want this guy to be nominated for the Emmy next week

There were SIX categories for animated shows, and The Simpsons wasn’t nominated in even one of them? That’s the only downer from a fantastic list of nominees.

The Newsroom did very well with these. I’m sure everyone is pissy about that.

Have they changed the rules? I found the performance categories had episode titles on last year‘s nomination list.

    They’re
back and just as sketchy as ever with the same website!

14 nominees for Drama Series and 13 nominees for Comedy Series?

    Are you kidding me?

Have they changed the rules? I found the performance
categories had episode titles on last year‘s nomination list.

That was pretty much all that these awards had going for them.

They found room for Southland in series, writing and lead actress, but not for Critics’ Choice winner Michael Cudlitz.

Ha, now they have categories for “Artistic/Visual Achievement” that combine art direction, cinematography, costume design and hairstyling and “Technical Achievement” that combine editing, sound editing, sound mixing and visual effects.  Yet they have 110 people nominated for individual achievement in acting.

It’s not hard to find room when there’s about 15 nominees lol. Regina King is also in supporting actress.

I feel like this award is just one rando and his person picks.

Has anyone tried contacting these people? Could they at least send out a list of all the voting members? I can’t take this seriously at all.

And, yeah, the fact these awards had “tapes” for all the actors is what made them semi-interesting last year.

I agree with you a 100%. These awards are so fake. I also realized that most of the nominees for writing and directing are the same episodes that the shows themselves submitted to the Emmys. And also everybdoy knows Tony Hale was better than Jeffrey Tambor this season in AD. I think the only reason he didn’t get nominated was because he didn’t submit himself for the Emmy. I mean isn’t it weird how “Off the Hook” was nominated for Best Directing and “Blockheads” was nominated for Best Writing. C’mon. Supposedly the ballots for these awards were sent out on June 4th. The emmy ballots were released June 10th and the supposed “deadline” for nominating ballots to be returned for the PAFTJ TV awards was June 11th. So you’re telling me 550 people (the supposed number of members they have. It says it on their website) had almost the same ballot as the emmys and just coincidentally nominated episodes that were eligible for the Emmys? I also remember cheking on this website everyday in June and I can tell you that nominations weren’t announced on June 18th! Tha’ts a lie!!! The first time I saw the nominations were in JULY!!! And seriously like 15 nominations for Best Series? This website is a hoax! No wonder its wikipedia page was deleted. Where’s there list of members anyway? I emailed them and I got no response. These “awards” is/are just some loser(s) who want(s) to nominate all his/her/their favorite shows for every category and at the same time fool everyone who enjoys TV awards. I mean seriously wordpress? Anybody can make a wordpress!!!

Okay, so these awards don’t really exist.
