This year Sterling K. Brown could win an Emmy for hosting “SNL,” which would be his third acting Emmy in three consecutive years for three different projects. (The others were “The People v. O.J. Simpson” in 2016 and “This Is Us” in 2017.) Has any other performer ever achieved this rare feat? I’m strictly curious about actors and actresses, not other Emmy categories. Thanks all!

1976–Rich Man, Poor Man
Thanks Nate! Just these two?
Well, this one which falls outside your exact definition is three Emmy wins for three consecutive projects over two years.
In 1962, Carol Burnett won the Emmy for Outstanding Performance in a Variety or Musical Program or Series for The Garry Moore Show.
In 1963, Carol Burnett won the Emmy for Outstanding Performance in a Variety or Musical Program or Series for two different programs, An Evening with Carol Burnett and Julie and Carol at Carnegie Hall.
