July 17, 2017 at 9:45 am #1202155187I’m thinking The Crown could get snubbed at the Globes, especially if it looses the Emmy. Stranger Things will probably come back IF it wins drama series because the HFPA doesn’t want to look like idiots. The Deuce seems solid and The Handmaid’s Tale seems like a lock. They’ve already went with Hulu for Casual so The Handmaid’s Tale should have no problem. Maybe Mr. Robot can come back if season 3 is well received. I would love The Leftovers to get in out of buzz but that’s not happening. Game of Thrones should be back but they never really loved it and only kept it in so that don’t look stupid. Outlander could be coming back to.is this is Us the type of show they nominate twice? Ozark seems to be more of an acting contender from the reviews.
1) The Handmaid’s Tale
2) Stranger Things
3) The Deuce
4) Game of Thrones
5) The Crown
6) Mr. Robot
7) This is Us
8) Outlander
9) 13 Reasons Why
10) The Leftovers
11) American Gods
12) Ozark

I think Foy gets nominated either way as it’s her swan song. Ryder could be snubbed like with the Emmys.

The show will probably do well at the SAG, maybe at the Emmys, but we are talking about the group that has never given a single award to Will & Grace. If it gets a single nominee, it’ll be the show’s prize.
July 17, 2017 at 2:32 pm #1202155436Imagine not predicting Nicole Kidman and Elisabeth Moss to get two nominations this year. Can’t relate.
Also, can’t wait for the moment when JLD loses for the sixth time, preferably to Debra Messing.
July 17, 2017 at 6:19 pm #1202155594Susan Sarandon can also have two nominations. For “Feud” and “Ray Donovan”.
July 17, 2017 at 6:29 pm #1202155601Susan Sarandon can also have two nominations. For “Feud” and “Ray Donovan”.
She can and so can many other people but they won’t. Kidman and Moss will.

this. is. rude.
But in saying that, if JLD has to lose again, I’m happy for it to be to the divine Debra Messing.

July 17, 2017 at 10:01 pm #1202155758The thing is Debra Messing could actually win this year. She has never won before, she has been the most liked W&G cast member by HFPA, they clearly don’t like JLD in Veep that much and there are no new show contenders they could award (Glow basically came and went). Yeah I’m gonna predict her win.
