Now that we are almost going to know the official Emmy nominations, let’s take a look in another tough category which is dominated by two previous winners. Both can actually win but only one can take the trophy. Do you think Aaron Paul will take a third and final Emmy for Breaking Bad and become the first actor to win three in this category or not make history and see Peter Dinklage taking a second for Game of Thrones? (My vote=Aaron Paul)

Aaron Paul has the better tape.  Unless he submits poorly and Dinklage does not I see no scenario where Aaron Paul doesn’t win.

Neither of their tapes are good enough to say that race will whittle down to them.

Confessions is almost as good as End Times so you’re high.

Besides sniffing paint thinner I don’t get high.

“Confessions” is no where close to being as strong a tape as “End Times”. Paul isn’t close to dominating “Confessions” the same way he did ET, and his arc is not as well defined. It’s a good enough tape to make him competitive and could get him a win in a field of iffy submissions. Wright could win (he was submitted, right?). Norris could win if nominated and both “Blood Money” and “Confessions” are seen. Charles could win if nominated and submits “The Decision Tree”. This is hardly a two man race.

Norris can win?  You might not be high, but you may as well be.

Having said that, “Confessions” helps Norris a lot more than “Blood Money” helps Paul.

“Blood Money” and “Confessions” definitely puts Norris in position to compete for a win.

OK, I can see him winning when Paul submits “Confessions” and Norris submits “Blood Money”. I don’t think he deserves it, though. He was very good in “Blood Money”, but not nowhere near as good as Paul was in “Confessions”, or, as I like to call it, “End Times: The Revenge”. Also, Paul had a better season overall that Norris did.

I don’t recall arguing that Norris would deserve to win. He’s not even in my personal top six. My only stance is that the race is not Paul vs Dinklange.

Right now I think Paul is the frontrunner.

I know that. I was just saying that Norris wouldn’t deserve the Emmy if he were to win for the reasons I stated.

Wow you also said that ”Ozymandias” wasn’t a great tape or ”Who Goes There” either. I mean everbody has an opinion but those tapes are very good I think. ”Confessions” smiliraties with ”End Times” are impossible to ignore and it’s like Aaron Paul submitting the same episode again this year. By the way, Norris is a contender but the only standout scene he has is at the end of ”Blood Money” I don’t think that’s enough

Right now, I think Paul is the frontrunner, but I think anyone can really take it. I don’t think Norris has that great of a chance, even if they submit a combination of “Confessions” and “Blood Money”. Although “Confessions” is not nearly as a slam dunk tape that “End Times” was, it was still a fantastic 20 minutes of acting for Paul.

Dinklage has to submit “The Laws of Gods and Men” to be competitive. He has the benefit of appearing throughout the episode to keep voters interested before reaching the speech at the end.

I think Charles is going to end up submiting “Hitting the Fan”, which makes him somewhat competitive. I didn’t really find him that great in “The Decision Tree” and he didn’t really have anything significant to do in “Dramatics, Your Honor” other than, well you know.

If Charles Dance sneaks in there and submits the finale, Dinklage is winning his second.

His arc will be complete, and voters have shown that they do not care how many minutes someone has per episode. It’s all about impact.
