Title seems self explanatory, so please share away the performances that weren’t emmy nominated that you thought should have won.
I’ll start with most of the Leftovers cast. Ann Dowd should have taken it for season 1 and the only person I think that maybe should have beaten her for season 2 would be Regina King, both are better than any of last years nominees (but fuck the Maggie Smith haters, the Dowager is one of the greatest TV characters of all time and she did her best work on DA in the last series.) Matthew Rhys is definitely the class of the best actor category so I actually wouldn’t say Theroux should have ever won. Coon over Maslany all day though (Or at least at last years emmys). And we can’t forget Christopher Eccleston. If he was eligible, then Scott Glenn should have won as guest actor for season 1.
Next, Vincent D’Onofrio should have won supporting actor and guest actor for daredevil.
The Wire cast, notably Michael K. Williams, especially when he still was a guest actor in the first few seasons, and Idris Elba for season 3.
And my last one is Patti Lupone is Penny Dreadful season 2 and though I would never put anyone in front of Laurie Metcalf’s masterful tour de force performance last year (how the hell did she lose), in any other year, she would have been a deserving winner.

I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone. I have considered only regular players, no guests.

Yes! Horace and Pete was great, should have gotten a lot more nominations than it did.
